Phoebe

After that night, it should've felt like everything changed. But it didn't. Things kind of returned to normal after Diana's funeral, except the feeling of gloom and doom everywhere. I got to focus on my relationship with Kaide, which is something that almost died along with the other four that night. When Kaide had gone to kill Kohl, it turned out that Kohl couldn't be killed. They fought and Kohl ended up winning. He snapped Kaide's neck and shut him inside of his basement and didn't come back for him.

All of us were on guard, though. We had no idea what Rex was capable of and we wouldn't know until Mr. Hernanchez found out and told us. Hopefully, we could solve this problem quickly. But it was nice to be able to enjoy things again and not focus on killing Kohl or anything like that.

I was on my way to meet Kaide for lunch, thinking of nothing in particular. It was good to have nothing on my mind. I smiled when I saw Kaide. I actually ran to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. He returned my smile and kissed me.

"Hello, little wolf," he said softly and rested his forehead against mine.

"Hi," I replied. I kissed him back, just because I could. "Where are we going for lunch?"

"I was thinking we could go to my house...skip the rest of the day. It's only three classes." His eyebrows were raised and he was biting his lip.

"I'm down," I replied and got into his car.

I'd never seen his whole house, so when we got there I demanded a tour.

"The bedroom is included on the tour," Kaide said and pulled me along.

When we made it to his room, it was exactly what I expected it to be. It was very minimal and simple. The walls were a pale blue and there wasn't much in the room except for a giant wardrobe and huge king sized bed that had about a dozen throw pillows that were color coordinated with the bedding in shades of gray and blue.

I stepped inside. He closed the door behind me. My nerves were on edge and I just stood there, in the middle of his room, not knowing what to do. Kaide came up behind me and wrapped his hands around my waist. I smiled and turned to face him. He leaned down and kissed me, biting my lip as he pulled away. I was going crazy. I kissed him again as I pulled him back towards his bed.

Damian

I threw Lydia onto her bed and started tickling her. She was laughing so hard, she was crying. I couldn't help but to start laughing with her. After a moment, she stopped laughing and just looked up at me, still smiling.

"Who are you?" she asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I dropped down beside her.

She narrowed her eyes at me. "You're, like, never this happy. Who the hell are you and what have you done to Damian?"

I wasn't even focused on what she was saying. "Mhm," I replied as I lightly traced my fingers up her arm.

Her eyes fluttered closed. "That tickles," she said. Her voice was barely above a whisper.

I pulled her face to mine and kissed her. "Let's take a nap," I whispered.

"No way, dude," she whispered back and pulled me back to her.

I broke away. "What would Phoebe say?"

She kissed me again. "She doesn't care anymore." She was starting sound annoyed.

I sighed. I couldn't keep this up. "Okay, look. I'm just worried about you. You haven't even been to Diana's grave."

She opened her eyes and stared up at her ceiling. "I'm not ready to talk about it yet. I will, but just not now." She turned her body to face me. "But for now, can we just do normal things?"
