The Player's Dare

Chapter 5

Jun walked alone to school the next day to sort out his thoughts. Lexa.. Lexa... I can't wait to see her.. "Why is my mind full of her today? What's wrong with me? Hmm.. But she was pretty cute when she was blushing. Also what's with that attitude of hers, saying sorry just because she dumped me? Hmph.." Jun unconsciously smiled just thinking about her."Am I... falling for her?" Jun thought deeply and eventually stop walking and just stared straight ahead. Lexa was just meters away from where he was standing. She was infront of the gates of the school, with her side view in the line of sight of Jun. "Beautiful." he mindlessly said. He snapped out of his thoughts and called out to her. Lexa was not really in a good mood because of what she thought of yesterday. She feels like she can't talk to him right now, so she just ran away from there and went to her class.
Jun was left there surprised. Did I do something wrong? I know she heard me he thought.
 

"How is your dare going?" Jun craned his head to see his friends. "I can see that it's not going to be good." Heon innocently said. "Why would you say that?" Jun asked irritated. "She just avoided you!" they all said at once. "Or in literal words from what just happened, she ran away from you." Sean teasingly said. "Shut up." Jun said with annoyance in his voice.

  Jun kept calling Lexa or even just get her attention for the whole day but, she just kept pretending not see or hear him at all. School ended and Jun was really frustrated and worried at the same time. He wanted to know why she has been avoiding him for this whole day, but he can't seem to find a chance because she's always with her friends.
  I'll talk to her after school. When she's walking alone he planned.

Lexa said goodbye to her friends, wanting to get home as soon as possible. She didn't want Jun trying to talk to her, again. But it didn't go exactly to her plan."Lexa, can we talk?" he asked blocking my way home. Lexa avoided his eyes, trying to put on a serious face while saying, "No." "Why are you avoiding me?" He asked desperately. Seeing him like this, is surprising for Lexa but she couldn't care less. "I'm not. I just think we have nothing to talk about." She said sternly."Nothing? Aren't we friends?" Jun spoke softly, shock in his voice.
  "Friends? No we're not."
Lexa gathered up her courage and looked into his eyes. "I don't want to be friends with someone who breaks someone's heart just for fun. And I will never become friends with someone who hurt my friend. I just wanted to say sorry to you because I felt guilty about rejecting you. I would have done that too, even if we were just alone. So, I said sorry and you seem to have accepted that, now we have nothing to talk about. So can you please just leave alone?" Lexa avoided eye contact at the
end because she ran out of breath saying all that.
 

Jun was speechless because of mixed emotions. It's true that he was hurt becuaseof what she said but, he thinks he knows why he was so frustrated when she was avoiding him all day. Lexa felt so bad for saying that but it was true. Well some of it she thought. She shrugged that thought away and kept walking leaving Jun there thinking. Jun turned around to see Lexa in the middle of crossing the road, but he can't seem to bottle his feeling much longer. He just wanted say it out loud, not caring what she'll say.
  "I love you, Lexa!"
  Time seems to freeze for Lexa as she stopped walking to process what the playboy just said behind her.
*BEEP!!! BEEP!!! BEEP!!!*
The next thing Lexa knew, what that she was pushed to side of the road and also tires screeching all around her and also a grunt of a person and glass shattering. Then she blacked out.
