Kidnapping isn't a crime. Right? Chapter 13

"Be safe." I said after kissing My Jenna. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." I warned as I picked up Lu off the ground. "Be good, and please be nice." I whispered into her ear.

She rolled her eyes at me. "I'm always nice Daddy."

"Lu." I sighed.

"Sometimes...?" she tried.

I laughed. I placed her back on the ground. "Just go." I kissed her cheek.

"Bye."

"Bye, love you guys." The door to the room closes. For some reason I had a bad feeling in my gut. I went to the door and called after them. "Promise me you won't do anything stupid."

"We promise," they said at the same time both of them rolling their eyes. Jenna was taking Lu dress shopping so she could look nice to meet G'Mama, today. Me, I was planning to go to some stores around town looking for the perfect ring for My Jenna. Catcher was coming with me since I seriously didn't know what to get.

We've been out for hours we went to the last possible place to find an engagement ring. I was walking down the glass cases, when I saw something shimmer in the light. That was the one! It was simple yet elegant. The band was silver, with one single diamond in the middle with two smaller diamonds on the side. The smaller diamonds were sat in a heart shaped setting, though the diamond themselves were not shaped like a heart.

"Catch, dude come."

When I saw Catcher appear he had a phone to his ear. All the blood in his face was gone. He was pale. What he said next made me want to die.

"Lu."

Jenna's POV

Lu was the best shopping buddy EVER. She was the cutest little thing, but don't let her cuteness fool you that girl is feisty. We finished shopping about an hour ago. We used Lincoln's credit card of course. We didn't do much damage, but I'll tell you now that my fiancé will have one heck of a credit card bill for this month!

Me and Lu were at Denny's waiting for our food to arrive. I felt a little hand on mine. "Jenna?" Lu asked in her cute infantile voice.

"Yes, Lux." It had been two days since Lincoln propose to me. We had come up with a name for Lu already. Lux Crystel Bright. I don't know where Lincoln got it from, but once the question was asked he knew the answer right away.

"Umm... is it okay if I call you Mommy?" She asked shyly.

I looked down at Lu with a sad smile. Would it be wrong for me to allow her to call me mom? I mean her birth mother died only a couple months ago. I guess her mother wasn't much of a mother since her cause of death was because she consumed too much alcohol, but still.

"Lux, you can call me whatever makes you comfortable, okay. You can call me Jenna, Jenn, Lincolns wife, whatever. You can even call me Barney." She grimaced when I said Barney. "What?" I asked curious of why she made the face.

"Once my friend made me watch Barney and it gave me nightmares." She looked down embarrassed.

"Seriously! I thought I was the only one! I told Lincoln and he just laughed at me." We laughed and talked about a bunch of other things.

A family who looked way too Expensive to be eating here, walked threw the door. As the man was passing by something fell out his pocket. It was his wallet. None of them noticed.

Lu gasped and stood up. "I'll be right back." she said as she picked up the wallet.

"Lu wait let me come with you." She ignored me and kept on walking.
