Hanako POV

I wake up pretty early and listen to the silence.

I HATE SILENCE.

I get up and walk straight into Kakashi's room.

He's still asleep.

I watch as his unmasked, slightly parted lips take air in.....and out.

They then smirk, "see? What did I tell you."

I blush madly remembering the time I kissed those same lips.

"Hm, don't flatter yourself," I say.

He sits up, "I'm not, you're flattering me."

I groan.

He laughs as he reaches over and grabs a plain white mask from his bedside table.

"Hm, get ready. We have places to go," I demand.

He just laughs as I storm out of his room.

Why does he frustrate me so easily?

Then I hear Naruto scream, and go to investigate.

I walk out my room and see Naruto stumbling out of Kakashi's room covering his eyes.

"Wha..."

I walk into his room and see Kakashi in a mask, and man thong.......

My jaw drops down to the floor.

"I can explain!" he says.

"I just wanted to make sure it fit...."he realized how wrong that sounded.

"I MEAN! Nevermind," he sighs in defeat.

"Just get dressed," I growl out and storm out of his room, closing the door this time.

I dress silently in my usual clothes and leave my room to make breakfast.

Naruto and I can't even talk to each other anymore.

Naruto is curled up in a ball underneath the dining table muttering to himself things like 'scarred for life' or 'why sensei'.

I sigh, poor child.

"Naruto do you want ramen? I ask.

No answer so I decide to make myself tamago kake gohan (egg over rice).

Kakashi walks in, "Goodmorning everyone," with one of those stupid closed eye smiles. No one even looks at him.

He sighs and makes himself breakfast.

Naruto can't see his face from under the table so he eats quickly.

"Hanako, are you ready to go?" Kakashi asked me.

I just stare at him.

He sighs, "Naruto you can stay as long as you like, Hanako, let's go."

I get up as I continue to stare at him.

When we arrive to the Hokage office, Kakashi tells me to wait outside the door as he talks to the Hokage.

When I'm finally told to come in the Hokage speaks to me.

"Hanako, you would like to become a ninja of a Konahagakure, am I correct?" the Hokage asks me.

"Yes, once you gain my trust of course," I say.

"Yes, indeed. Here is your headband, you will be placed on the same level as Kakashi for now," he says, "Kakashi told me about your sparring results, so I will have you spar with a few other notable ninja here."

"I understand," I say.

He holds up my headband for me and I grab it with a nod.

"Dismissed," he says.

Kakashi and I head out.

"Are you angry with me?" Kakashi asks as we walk to the training grounds.

"No. I could never be angry with you, I just don't know why you would try on a man thong with your door wide open," I explain.

"I wasn't thinking, there was something else on my mind...." he does seem a bit distracted.

"What is it? You can tell me," I say.

He looks directly in my eyes as he stops.

"I can't tell you," he says.

I look down, I thought he trusted me.

"Oh, okay," I try to sound okay with this.

...

Awkward silence.

We finally reach the training grounds.

I see Guy, Kurenai, and Asuma, aka the only people I know.

Great I get to spar with all of my friends.

Anyway, I beat all of them, and had to heal them.

Oops, so I'm jōnin level!

It's dinner time by the time I'm done so Kakashi treats me to dinner at a nice barbecue place.

After that, we take a long walk around Konaha.

I'm wearing his jacket, my arm around his waist and his around my shoulders, talking and laughing about nothing.

It almost feels like a good date, but we're not dating.

Suddenly, Kakashi stops walking and lets go of me.

"What?" I ask.

"Hanako, I have to talk to you," he sounds nervous.

Yeah, what is it?" I ask.

"I know that I just met you, and I shouldn't be thinking like this," he starts, "I really like you, no scratch that, I love you, I know you might not feel the same way, but I just had to tell you."

I looked up at him.

"I'm not saying you have to love me back, but at least let me take you on a date," he finishes.

"Kakashi, I..... I...... I really like you a lot too. Yes, I'll go on a date with you," I say smiling softly.

He smiles, "How about tomorrow night?"

"Whenever you want, but I need a new dress!" I say, "but I don't want you to see it, so I'll see if Kurenai will go dress shopping with me."

He nods and grabs my hand.

Tingles run up through my arms and I blush at the contact.

We walk home in a comfortable silence.

We are standing in front of our respective rooms, but not yet wanting to go.

"Goodnight Kakashi," I say.

"Goodnight, Hanako."

So was it too fast?

Meh.
