Grasping the styrofoam cup in my hand, I splash it across T's face.

It shocks him awake, but the moment he attempts to sit up, he falls back onto the bed again. He looks almost paralysed, his muscles seizing, his facial expression seemingly the only part of him that is moving. I kneel on his bed beside him, shaking his shoulders gently, hoping for something.

"T, we need to get out of here," I mutter frantically, glancing over my shoulder as if that woman might walk in at any second.

His dark eyes shift to mine, no longer blank and devoid of attention. He is focusing on me. It takes a few minutes for him to completely come back to his senses. However, he doesn't leave behind the grogginess and daze the drugs as he stumbles to his feet.

"You actually came for me," he says, eyes blinking rapidly as if he can't believe I'm in his presence.

I nod, snatching his hand. "And I don't need to ask if last night was real."

The moment I woke up, I realised that it can't have been anything but real. It was something about the way my lips felt, even after the simplicity of the kiss. It's the reason why I have so much confidence in coming here and getting him out of here. A part of me knows I have to believe him.

"How are we supposed to get out of here?" T questions, eyes frantically taking in the situation, still swaying from the remnants of the poison. I'm curious what was used on him, but I don't dare ask.

I hadn't thought that far ahead.

"You can't get passed Alden," I tell him. "He is waiting for me upstairs. He might be getting suspicious as it is."

T sits down on the edge of the bed, saving his energy. "I can use some of Time's powers to get out. He has only a small amount, but if it's between life or death, it is worth using it right now."

"Has the poison worn off?" I question.

"It fades quickly. They will be back in three hours for another dose. By then, I'm sure I will be gone," he tells me, wiping at his brow. He may be deteriorating, but at least that poison is out of his system. I will worry about the effects of it later, when he is safe and out of Alden's hands.

I back toward the door. "Do what you need to. As long as you get out of here."

If Alden was suspicious of me, he didn't show it.

He let me leave with few words spoken between us. I'm not yet sure how I feel about him at this point. There is so much on my mind. Cal, T, the person still lingering in my mind, controlling me whenever they deem necessary. My first step is to ensure that T is safe, and then find out what is to happen after that.

By the time I made it back to the Independence Pack, I was exhausted and on the borderline of insanity. My worry for T's whereabouts has manifested in my mind. I had no idea when I first met him that he would worry me so much in the future.

I found T completely safe and utterly alive in my bedroom.

My first reaction was to run and jump at him excitedly. But I refrain. Each time I look at him now, I see a crazed immortal that puts a great amount of people in danger. Even if my mate is truly there, as the vessel for two immortals. It makes me nervous, regardless. So I stand next to the door, unsure of what I should do.
