cheryl pov -

i just had to get out of the prison cell i was living in. it was too much with my mother and i needed to leave, at least that's what i had told toni. i thought it was sweet that she cared about me, but i'd never tell her that. i went swiftly to my room, blocking my ears as i ran past my mothers quarters. i put on a fresh coat of lipstick and took my coat and ran outside. just as i did so the sky began to trickle with rain. i needed to get somewhere and fast.

as soon as cheryl had texted and said she wasn't going to be at home that night my mind instantly thought of the small cinema on the outskirts of town. i wasted no time and ran outside into the open air of sunnyside trailer park. there was my motorbike beside the tree where i had left it! i quickly hopped on hoping to get to the cinema quickly. the engine revved up and i began speeding off towards the northside with the wind in my hair. i needed a cover plan just incase cheryl showed up. why was i there? who was i with?

cheryl pov -

i arrived at the small cinema on the outskirts of the northside. the entrance was small and the lighting was something off a 1980's movie but it was better than anywhere near home. i made my way up the stairs and came to a small counter with a teenage boy serving. i didn't know this kid so i didn't even bother to put on a fake sense of confidence.

"um, a ticket to see love simon please. and a cherry cola."

i gave him the money and in return he handed me a ticket and the cola.

"thanks." i said giving a brief smile.

i was about half way there and it started to spit with rain. i accelerated. i was going to find cheryl even if she wasn't at the movies, i would look all over riverdale if i had to, just as long as she was safe. i don't know why i cared about this girl so much. she hadn't been nice to me, she insulted me and my serpents on the first day and she didn't seem interested over text but regardless there was a fire inside me that kept me wanting more and more of this redhead girl. i parked my motorbike outside and took off my helmet, shaking out my pink hair. please be in here cheryl , please be here. i ran in through the doors and up the stairs and low and behold there she was recieving a cherry cola from the boy at the counter. i breathed a sigh of relief.

"let me guess, some cherry cola for cheryl bombshell." i said, remembering her twitter account.

she turned around very slowly almost not wanting to look at me.

"oh my god, what do you want? she said in a demanding tone, "and why do you keep stalking me?"

"i'm not," i insisted. here was my cover story, "i came to see this movie with fangs and he bailed on me." cheryl rolled her eyes. "are you ok?"

she sighed, "i'm alone at the movies," she lowered her voice now, "and i'm trying to stay away from my mother who has turned our house into her sexual playpen."

i tried to hide the look of shock on my face but i knew cheryl had seen it.

"so no, i'm really not."

"well... i was gonna go grab a seat alone, unless you want some company?"

she gave a small smile.

"but, no pressure." i said squinting my eyes.

cheryl looked at me and picked up her cherry cola, proceeding to sip it slowly.

cheryl pov -

"but, no pressure." toni said squinting her eyes in an enticing way.

i gave in to her playful smile and began sipping my cola in a way i hoped she'd think was cute.

a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. even though at first i didn't want toni knowing anything, i was glad i had told her and i was glad that she was trying so hard to make things right. she was a really nice girl despite he serpent qualities that i had first percieved. we walked over together to find kevin and josie talking. toni was about to go up to them but i put my hand on her shoulder.

"look, i think they're having some troubles too, with their parents and stuff. you know, mayor and sheriff business."

"oh ok sorry." toni said. "do you want me to go get some popcorn while i get my ticket?"

"sure." i replied.

i admired this girl as she smoothly went up to the counter and asked for the popcorn. i watched the way she walked over, and the movement of her lips when she talked.

"cheryl?"

i jumped.

"oh toni, sorry. i had my mind on something else for a second."

she smiled with knowing.

"oh ok then." she winked.

did toni know that i liked her? did i know that i liked her? i liked her?!

"did you want to go in then?"

"oh, um yes." i said gathering my thoughts. i smiled at toni. maybe i did like her.
