Pleiades's PoV

Pleiades stared down her nose at Hemlock, who seemed to be shrinking lower to the ground with every second that passed. Her dark green gaze pierced into Hemlock's unnerved yellow eyes. She was shaking with rage and anger, but Pleiades, for some reason, found it hard to get the words about how she felt out of her mouth. And instead, to replace her silence, her tail was busy lashing back and forth, spikes occasionally shooting out of the abundance on her back and disintegrating every living thing they touched. Pretty soon, the leaves on the ground had shriveled up into black specks and had been blown away by the wind.

A growl rumbled from the pits of her chest, bitterness and anger coming off of her in waves. She was completely aware of the poison dripping from between her scales and onto the ground beneath her. And she could tell that Hemlock was terrified at what he thought she might do.

She stepped towards him, her scales only an inch from killing him, the spines on her head rising. "What is WRONG WITH YOU?" Pleiades snarled furiously. Hemlock didn't answer, instead looking at her with startled eyes, his light green and white fur beginning to stand on end. "Throughout this ENTIRE TIME, you've had the power to stop everything that had happened!" She growled, "you could have saved us from your stupid Cloudwing dungeon, you could have saved me before that weasel-hearted Nova took me to her kingdom, and YOU COULD HAVE healed this!" She pointed to her ruined, torn up face. "But instead of you, a bird-brained Spiralwing was nice enough to help me, AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HIM!" She roared, stepping dangerously close to him.

She paused and turned away from him, her anger radiating from her in the form of poisonous gas out from in between her scales and her nose. "But, Pleia-" Hemlock began, but he fell short of his sentence when Pleiades swung her head back towards him, her green eyes practically shooting daggers at him.

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!" she roared, "I THOUGHT THAT YOU WERE MY FRIEND!" but then, her voice shook and there was suddenly a new emotion clouding her heart: sadness. "But... I guess I was wrong." This time, her voice was quieter, and tears were threatening to fall from her eyes. Hemlock was still cornered up against the door, and he looked horrified.

"Pleiades, I need to tell you something..." Hemlock tried once more, but Pleiades turned away from him. "Don't even bother! I'm sure Velocity is more worthy to hear what you say, she's more of a friend to you anyway." Pleiades said miserably. "I might as well find Fig and we can be friends. That's probably what you want anyway, isn't it?" Then, Pleiades trudged towards the door, Hemlock leaping out of her way, and she pushed it open, leaving rotten black claw marks across its surface.

"Pleiades, wait!" She could hear Hemlock behind her, but she ignored him and instead, ran in between the dense foliage of the forest, not knowing where she was going. She leapt over logs, rounded bushes, and dodged trees until she finally came upon a very large rock. Around the rock, many colorful flowers and vines grew in little clumps. Birds hopped atop of its surface, pecking at the ground and clearing it of bugs.

Pleiades stepped gloomily towards the boulder and plopped down on her side, causing the birds from above to fly away with loud squaking noises. She could feel the grass below her disintegrate into black ash before they blew away into the wind. And she could see many strange rabbits streaking off into the distance, their white tails bobbing into the air. A big cat roared somewhere nearby, its voice echoing throughout the jungle.

The sky was beginning to darken, its depths a mixture of dark blues, reds, and purples. Two and a half moons floats amongst the color, and two tiny little white dots accompanied them. She could feel the air around her start to grow cooler, and after a few minutes, she began to shiver.

Pleiades needed time to be alone, to think, to regret what she just did. But it was his fault. He does not care about me. He would rather let some random dragon heal me, but wouldn't even do it himself. He was never my friend. Not even when I was dragged off to the Sunwings did he try and save me. Instead, I needed to be tortured first. A growl rumbled in her throat. He probably waited on purpose. He's the one that got me into this mess anyway. If Hemlock hadn't come and and attacked me in my home in the mountains, I would still be there living a normal life, and he would still be living his perfect life in his stupid castle.

Yet, despite the bitterness that poisoned her soul, sadness suddenly hit her like a rock. It enveloped her entire heart, like a piece of her was missing. And just then, the sun completely set behind the distant mountains, and a blazing white star shot across the sky until it too joined the setting sun.
