Zim and the Seven Regions of Metanoia
---
"Since I lost you, my darling, the sky has come near,
And I am of it, the small sharp stars are quite near,
The white moon going among them like a white bird among snow-berries,
And the sound of her gently rustling in heaven like a bird I hear. And I am willing to come to you now, my dear,
As a pigeon lets itself off from a cathedral dome..."In a great big thunderstorm, between the clouds and the ground, rested Zim the lightning, sleeping safe and sound. Tucked in the clouds, charging quietly; particles hovering, making the air so chilly. Clouds the color of the darkest of grays, waters from the oceans, a huge amount of rain.
It wasn't time yet, but he made a stir. He opened one eye to see if the coast was clear. But what he saw was a vast land expanding every way-north, east, south, west! Yep! All the way.
He suddenly remembered the whispers of the winds last night, of a place called Metanoia, before they took flight. A vast land rich in everything and in between, full to brim with almost anything.
This country, despite its size, sat alone almost in the middle of the oceans, too far for the other countries to travel in comfort. With creatures abound, prowling back and forth, back and forth, in all corners of the land. And now this country was covered in great black clouds. A thunderstorm. Zim's thunderstorm clouds.
In a quick B Z Z Z T! Zim was on the ground. In the form of a tiny ball of electric light, not making a sound. He looked around and saw heaps and heaps of food on the stalls, gold banks and locomotor jobs in every halls. He stood on Primera, the prime source of Metanoia, the prioritized ones in support of everything, never lacking in anything.
Zim started to float some more, left turn, right turn, straight onwards the alleys, and there Zim saw the truth it was hiding. Some creatures in tatters begging for alms, some creatures in golden cloths, so full were their greedy hands. Of gold, diamonds, gems of every kind. Not dropping a single one, nay, not one drop.
Zim shook his head and turned away, but what he saw next, he was in dismay. Once precious lands now mined so deep, for gold and diamonds, oh, the greed! The rich soil lost its nutrients, the trees were dead and barren. Oh, the creatures' greed was great indeed!
B Z Z Z T !
In a blink, Zim was in another place. He looked around and felt pinned in place. Amazing! Amazing were the things Zim could see: gadgets! Lots of gadgets! Great technology! From flying cars to trasparent glass phones, Parallax! Metanoia's developer of technology. Creatures taking their gadgets out, scanning everything, making sure nothing was left out.
Amazed, Zim started to float some more, left turn, right turn, straight onwards the alleys, and there Zim saw the truth it was hiding. Creatures in white moving to and fro, researching, hurrying, experimenting, exclaiming! Knowledge was power, unlimited power! So they slurped information and overfed the mind's hunger. Read, read, read! Slurp, slurp, slurp!
Zim shook his head and turned away, but what he saw next, he was in dismay. Scraps, plastics, wastes in every nook and cranny, polluted air was so uncanny. There was garbage everywhere, and plants were nowhere.
K Z Z Z T !
"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." Zim read the big sign when he set on "foot" on the region of Torah where laws were made to be followed by many in every move they made. They took great pride in everything, learned by heart their every single rule, yes, every single rule.
