Chapter 7

                    *Anna POV*

                   FLASHBACK

  I screamed for someone to help me when I heard footsteps walking up the stairs. My dad ran over to me and punched me multiple times in my face and stomach until I couldn't move.

  I heard footsteps come closer and the door open revealing...

                  FLASHBACK OVER

  When the door opened it revealed my mom. She looked at me then at my father and started crying. She ran downstairs and got her phone. She came back into the room and started typing something on her phone while still crying.

  I just sat there because I couldn't move and cried. "What the hell are you doing?!" My dad asked my mom while yelling. "Calling the cops on your ass!!!" She yelled back.

  "No the hell you not!! I dare you!!" He said while pulling out a gun and pointing it at my mom. My eyes widened and so did hers. I started crying louder and so did she. My mom dropped her phone and begged him to spare her life.

  I looked at my mom as she mouthed the words 'im sorry' "Mommy please?! Mommy please don't do this to me?!" I begged. She just looked at me with hurt in her eyes. My own mother is letting my dad... no, I can't.

  I silently got up out of the bed and quickly put my clothes back on while my dad was focused on my mom. I tiptoed over to my window, but while I tried to open it I accidentally knocked over a picture.

  My dad turned around and charged towards me, but before he could get to me I jumped. I fell to the ground but that didn't stop me. I got up and started running. I didn't know where to but what I did know is that I was running far away from there.

  When I finally stopped running I didn't recognize any of my surroundings. I looked around and saw men and women on the street corners and men smoking weed.

  I walked over to this abandoned park and sat on the swings. I looked around and spotted Jay, lucky for me he didn't notice I was there. He was with 2 other boys from school. I think their names were Antonio and Jerimiah.

  He turned around and looked over here for a minute and then turned back around and started talking to his friends. He said something but I wasn't close enough to hear then he started walking over to me.

                        *Jay POV*

  I was talking to my niggas Antonio and Jerimiah when I felt someone staring. I turned around and just as I thought someone was staring. I looked at the person for a minute and it looked like the person was Anna.

  I turned back around and started talking to my boys for a little longer then I told them I'll be back. I turned around and started walking toward the girl. When I got close enough to her I was sure that it was Anna.

  "Ayo ma. Why you on this side of town? It ain't safe 'round here." I asked but when I got closer to her I saw her crying. I walked closer and she put her head down. I gently grabbed her face and she flinched a little. I lifted her head up and as soon as I saw her face I got pissed.

  "What happened?! Who did this to you?!  I yelled. My boys must have heard me because a few seconds later they were heading over here. I just stood there waiting on her answer. "M-my d-d-dad." She mumbled while stuttering.

  "Let's go!" I yelled while gently pulling her off the swing. "Where?" She asked. I didn't answer I just kept walking. We walked over to my truck and I unlocked the car and opened the passenger door for her. She got in and I closed the door.

  "Yo. I need y'all to meet me at the trap in an hour." I told Jerimiah and Antonio. They both replied with an "'ight" then I jogged to the drives side of my truck and got in.

  I started up my truck then started driving my house. "Where are you taking me?" I heard Anna ask. "My crib". I said answering her question. We didn't say anything else for the rest of the ride.

  We arrived at my house and I got out of the car and walked to her side and opened the door. She got out and I closed the door and locked my car. I walked to the door with her following behind me. I unlocked it and we walked inside.

  I heard her say something but I couldn't make it out. I told her to follow me and then we went upstairs. I showed her one of the guest rooms and said she could sleep in here for the night.

  I walked back to my room and got one of my tee shirts and a pair of basketball shorts. I walked over to the guestroom and opened the door. She was standing there with her shirt off looking in the mirror crying. I examined her and saw scars and bruises everywhere.

  I got pissed all over again. I stood there for a few more seconds then cleared my throat to get her attention. She looked at me and then turned around trying to cover up her body.

  I fully walked into the room and handed her the clothes. After she grabbed them she said "Thank you" I nodded my head and told her that I was going out somewhere and she said okay.

  I left the house and went to the trap. I stayed for about 4 hours and looked at my phone and it was going on 1 in the morning.
 
  I already told my boys what went down so I didn't see the point in staying any longer, so I left and went home. When I got there I took a shower, went to check on Anna, and then went to bed.

Anna's mom turned on her?

She ran away FINALLY.

What about Jay? Is he developing feelings for Anna or feeling pity. Who knows?
