You're the one for me

Simon stood at the middle of the stage. Everyone had left. It was just him and the stage, and it gave him a comfort of some sort.

"I'm a shadow of the past
The shadow of a boy
A boy who couldn't last
They said: "Son, don't change"
And I keep hoping they won't see how much I have"

Simon continued to sing the song quietly to himself. Lilette was obsessed with Thomas Sanders and when she forced him to watch his music video, he was surprised how much he related to it. It's been stuck in his head ever since.

"I'd like to say: 'I'm the same person from yesterday
Nothing's changed'

'Cause yesterday I was eager to see what awaited
I wasn't jaded

But no!
I can't go back"

He was suddenly interrupted when he heard footsteps drawing near.

"That was beautiful." A boy said.

Simons breath hitched.

"I-I thought everybody left." He said.

"I thought that too." The boy replied.

Who was this boy? Jeremy Travers. The boy who was Simons scene partner. The boy who kissed Simon in the parking lot. The boy who Simon loves. Yes. LOVES. Would he ever tell Jeremy that? Of course not.

Simon stayed silent.

"Simon, those words have a deeper meaning, don't they?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." Simon said defensively.

"They said son don't change, but I keep hoping they won't see how much I have?"

Simon stayed silent again.

Jeremy hopped up on the stage and sat on the edge, looking out at all the empty chairs.

Simon walked over and took a seat next to him, probably closer than he should have.

"Sometimes I just feel like no one knows me. I have this huge secret that my family doesn't know. That my friends don't know. I've been living this lie and when it comes out, I feel like I'll have no one."

"You'll always have me." Jeremy said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"I don't understand why. I hurt you so much yet when I'm the one hurting you're right there for me. I feel like I used you." Simon replied as a tear began to fall.

"Simon you didn't use me. You were figuring out who you were and everyone needs that."

Simon stared into Jeremy's eyes. Jeremy smiled and opened his arms up. Simon then was eager to be in Jeremy's arms. He wrapped his arms around Jeremy's neck and dug his head into Jeremy's shoulder.

"Why can't we be like this in public?" Simons was crying by now.

"This town is crazy. We are going to get out of here one day." Jeremy said.

"It's awful how this town is so narrow minded I can't even be who I am." Another tear fell from Simons eye.

"Why can't you tell the troupe?" Jeremy asked. "They are very accepting."

Simon laughed. "Hey Annabelle I almost lost my virginity to you but guess what, I'm gay! Did I mention I want to date Jeremy? One of your good friends. "

Jeremy laughed. "You want to date me?"

Simon blushed profusely. "Is that all you got out of that statement?"

"Of course not! That's just the most important thing said."

Simon laughed nervously.

"You know, I've known Annabelle for quite a while, although she may be upset, she will not stand in your way of happiness. She will support you."

Simon didn't say anything. He looked into Jeremy's eyes instead.

"You have really nice eyes."

"No so bad yourself."

Simon bit his lip. "Hey, Jeremy?"

Jeremy smiled. Oh, that smile. "Yes?"

"The only kiss we've had was in a parking lot where I was panicking. Can we kiss again? Ya know to make sure that I truly wanna go through with being gay."

Jeremy nodded and slowly leaned in and pressed his lips to Simons. It was soft, not rushed and they both felt a spark. Simon pulled away slightly then went in for another kiss.

Once the kiss had ended that kept their faces right where it was, their noses touching and Simons arms around Jeremy's neck.

"So?" Jeremy laughed.

"Well if I get to kiss you every day and be just like this everyday, I wanna come out."

Jeremy kissed him once more then tackled him in a hug.

"You're the only one for me Simon." He kissed him again.

"You're the only one for me Jeremy."

I'm sorry it took so long😭 I was writing a different one shot then I realized I didn't like it that much so I started over. Anyway, hope you enjoyed and stay tuned for the next part! Feel free to suggest prompts as well💗
