They rushed into the room and the nurses followed suit.. "Ohh god.. Josh.. Hang on.." The doctor said and tried to stabilize him. A nurse asked Lisa to wait outside. Lisa covered her mouth when she saw Joshua gasped for air. The nurse pushed Lisa gently out of the room and closed the door. The doctor put Joshua on the ventilator and looked at the heart monitor.

"It's still dropping, the blood pressure." He whispered and looked at Joshua. The doc injected adrenaline into Joshua's blood stream. He took a glance at the heart monitor, the numbers slowed down and then it stopped decreasing.

"Josh, can you hear me?" The doctor called out to him.

Joshua gulped and his breathing became irregular. He clenched his cloth and his eyes partially open. Cold sweat rolled down his back. "D..do..c.." He stuttered when he called out for the man in lab coat. When sharp pains strike him, his eyes wide opened. He groaned in pain and wheezed.

The doctor got startled and said, "C-call the specialist on-call now!!" to one the nurses and she rushed out of the room.

Lisa saw the nurse dashed in the hallway from the room. She sat on the chair and prayed that Joshua will be okay. As the specialist arrived, The hospital staffs in the room tried their best to save him. And they succeed.

They sighed in relief as their patient had finally stabilized. The numbers displayed on the heart monitor slightly increased and managed to reach above the BP Hypotension level.

Lisa walked into the room and approached them. "Is he.." She hesitated.

The doctor that was incharge of Joshua showed a thumbs up, as a sign that the patient was saved.

She trembled at her spot and tears rolled down her cheek. "Thank god." She whispered and knelt on the floor.

He didn't tell her that he lost his left leg. A few weeks later, he finally could undergo the rehabilitation. Lisa's eyes wide open when saw him. Apart of his visible organ was missing.

She covered her mouth and stayed silent. She could see from the door of the room that he was struggling to walk. He was walking between the horizontal poles and held on to it.

A few months later, an unknown donor gave to him an artificial leg. He cried, feeling grateful that he was still alive and breathing that day. He had completed the rehabilitation phase. And will be discharged by tomorrow.

The day before the discharge, Lisa and his mother stayed by his side in that room. His mother packed up all his belongings. Joshua looked out of the window and smiled.

"Thank you, my Lord.. For giving a chance, to this mere human, a life. Which can't be replaced by other living creatures in this realm." He whispered and closed his eyes.

Lisa took his hand and pressed it gently. She looked up at him and smiled. "Finally, you are finally discharge tomorrow!" She said happily and gave a sudden hug to Joshua. He flinched and patted her back.

Tears of joy rolled down Lisa's cheeks followed by Joshua's calming voice saying, "All thanks to the One Above."
