Part 2/2
Your POV
Sweats were running on my face, as the sun shone brightly while its heat kept me warm. I'd sometimes stop walking for a brief, to relax my knees.
I looked at my phone again to check the current time; 11.15 am, meant I had been walking for half an hour now How I'd wish to take a cab, but it was such an unfortunate day that I forgot to bring my wallet. Not even a train pass either.
I sighed, but I couldn't just give up. Jungkook was waiting for me, and all of my friends too. Even if I didn't get to see him performing, at least I'd cheer and congratulate him later.
"Hwaiting~!"
I encouraged myself, knowing that SM University was already around the corner. As I exhaled, I began to walk again, only until someone abruptly bumped into my shoulder.
"Ah, Sorry..." She said.
That girl bowed almost 90 degrees until I couldn't take any sight of her face. But, duh, who on earth couldn't recognize her own best friend's voice? Also, that alluring brunette hair and a high-pitched voice of hers were an easy clue.
Such an idiot. I thought as a faint giggle came up, yet the girl quickly drifted herself away without giving a damn.
"Hey, Yoon Chaeyong!"
My sudden voice stopped her from going any farther. Chaeyong's gasp could be heard and she turned her body right away, now with her face facing mine.
"Y-Yoora-yah?" She flattered, "Oh my god, how could I not see you?"
"Well? Ask that to yourself, dummy. You were walking with your head hung low, you didn't even try to look at the person you crashed to." I answered sarcastically.
"A-ah, I'm really really sorry! I didn't mean to..."
Chaeyong's trembling voice surprised me, never had I thought she'd be that scared! I was only joking, but it seemed like her mind wasn't in a good state as she mistook my sentence.
"H-hey, I'm joking, you see." I grabbed her shoulders, "By the way, is there something wrong, Chaeyong-ah? You seem really down."
She let out a deep breath before answering me.
"Isn't it obvious?" She asked back instead, "Anyway, I'm going home."
"What?!" I got startled by her answer instead. Chaeyong smiles upon me before patting my shoulder a few times.
"Hurry up and go. Their performance might be done already. But still, you know Jungkook is waiting for you. I've watched enough, so I'm going home." She added with such a faint smile, a fake one.
"Ha? No way! Why would you even think of that?" I shouted.
I took her arms, getting ready to drag her all along the way to SM University but I was stopped by her tears which started falling out.
"Chaeyong-ah?" I got startled, again.
"They wouldn't accept my presence." She explained, "Jimin booked my seat but still... I've done such an awful thing so I'm not brave enough to face the others."
Her tears began to fully drench her cheeks as she hastily covered her face, yet I was still baffled by her thoughts.
"Ah, why are these tears coming up?" She faked a chuckle.
"Hey, Yoon Chaeyong. Are you just going to run away from this problem, alone, and not even trying to put an end to it?"
I savagely asked her, but she only followed with a sob as she threw a look to another side.
