it was starting to rain
and you were soaked through
in a matter of minutes,
but she was warning you
still warning you
about what she planned 
to do. 

"you've made a mistake,
and now you have to pay,"
she said. 

"don't hurt me,"
you whispered, 
you voice quivering
with each breath you take
between your pale lips. 

you were scared
you didn't want to be in pain
you wanted to move past this
and forget she even exists. 
you want her to leave
and to take her hounds with her, 
you want to walk away
but you know
there's no chance of this.

your hope
is pointless. 

"make this easy on me
and i'll make it easy
on you," 
she smirked devilishly. 

"i can't go,"
you muttered, 
backing away a couple feet
as she stood those couple feet
away from you. 

"you have no choice, 
your name is on the list
and my job isn't done
until you stop breathing." 

she reached for you
but you reacted quickly

and before you knew it, 
you were running
running
running 

again.
