My friend Vincent

So sorry I haven't updated in forever guys! I promise from now on I'll be better at doing it!

Chapter 7 :

It was the second week of school, so now I was used to it.

Vincent and I had been texting each other, and I decided that I was ok with hanging with him. Just as a friend though. Nothing more.

We actually had a lot of classes together, I just hadn't noticed him before. We learned a lot about each other. He loves hockey, music, cooking, and of course, surfing. He also is really good at math.

He can make me laugh really hard. Harder than anyone has before. It surprised me, at first. I never knew that I snorted when I laughed.

Claire started to see the way I changed around him. I talked more at lunch, and didn't rush to finish my food. Out on the waves I didn't stay as far away from him as possible. In fact, I hung out with him out there almost more than anyone else.

"Mal! Are you finally starting to accept that you like Vincent?" She said at school one day.

"Oh my gosh no! Do not say that! I like him as a friend and that's all we are. Friends." I said to her.

"Ok, but I've got my eye on you." She said suspiciously. "Gotta go to class now. See ya later".

"Friends Claire!" I called after her. "Just Friends!!"

"Hey." I heard a voice behind me I recognized.

I turned around to see Vincent smiling at me.

"Oh! Hey!" I blushed.

"We have math next. Wanna walk there together?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure."

We headed down the hallway.

"So, what were you saying to Claire back there?" He asked.

"Oh um,...well... I said just friends... that's my favorite movie! Just Friends!" I replied.

"Oh really? Did she ask or something?"

"Yeah... we're gonna have a sleepover and she wanted to know what movies to watch." I said. We actually are having a sleepover on Friday.

"Oh, cool, I guess." He said.

"What? You don't like a sleepover? You can come if you want!" I teased him.

"Haha, I think I'll pass." Vincent said.

We laughed and teased and talked the rest of the way down to the classroom.

I don't want to admit it, but I am so glad that we're friends now!
