"You know, jonesing for venom isn't exactly conducive to success when battling demons." Sebastian said from his place on the armchair across from Izzy and I. Something about him seemed familiar to me, I couldn't place what it was...but it was familiar.

"How did you know?" Isabelle asked, her voice held a weakness only she could muster, trying to sound brave and fine, when she actually wasn't.

"The darting eyes, the gray complexion, and that bloody wrist tremor. That's the worst." Sebastian said as he stood up and walked towards a box that was placed on his table. I looked over at Izzy and saw her clutching onto her wrist, stopping the tremor while making a frown appear onto my lips.

"We've never seen you at the Institute." I piped up, smiling ever so slightly as he turned his head to the side, catching my gaze as his blue eyes locked onto my brown ones. "That's 'cause I'm not from around here. I'm from the London Institute."

"Well that's bloody cool." I spoke in a pretty decent British accent, Sebastian chuckled as he walked over with something in his hand and and sat down on the coffee table in front of us. "Can I make myself some tea?" I asked slowly, wondering if he would let me or not. I mean, it's not everyday I get to meet a British dude. So a cup of tea sounded really nice about now.

"Um, sure." Sebastian nodded, I smiled while standing up and patted his shoulder as I passed him and walked into the beautiful kitchen. I could still hear Sebastian speaking to Izzy but I just ignored that.

I lightly touched the kettle to see if it was hot or not, and it wasn't. I picked it up and moved towards the sink, turning the cold tap on as the water began to pour into the kettle, quickly filling it up.

A few minutes later, the kettle was brewing and I was leaning up against the counter, staring at my chipped nails which I seriously need to get done again. Oooo, maybe I'll go and get them done tomorrow or something.

"So, why aren't you in London with your Institute?" I spoke up, letting my eyes drift up to look at Seb, he turned to face me, his expression turning sad. "I had to kick my Yin Fen addiction and let's just say that London wasn't the best place to do that." He answered while he stood up "So, I, um, took matters into my own hands. I left and I found my way to New York."

Sebastian smiled as he placed the medicine he gave Izzy back into the blue box on the table. "You went AWOL?" Izzy asked, I saw that she was looking better than she originally was, whatever Seb gave her, must have been powerful.

I turned my attention back onto the kettle which had now finished brewing, I pulled out three mugs and placed them onto the counter as I turned to face Seb and Izzy, pointing towards the mugs before pointing towards them.

"Sure." Seb nodded, his arms crossed as Izzy also nodded her head. I turned back around and looked around the counter until I spotted a red container filled with tea-bags, gotcha! I reached over and pulled out three of them and placed them into the mugs, I looked around but I couldn't find the sugar on the counter, I crouched down and began to look through the cabinets.
