Chapter 3:

"RaRa...Wake up its time to eat!" Rameek throws his pillow at Jahlil. Jahlil sticks his tongue out "That's why you missed!" Rameek gets up and walks out his door. "Goodmornin y'all." His mom puts a plate on the table. "Thank you mom". He sits down and eats "How you get these pancakes fluffy like this?" His mom replies "I made them from scratch.They good right?." Rameek agrees and continues to eat.

When he gets done eating, Rameek gets up and grabs his phone in his room. He sees the time its about 9:25am.He unlocks his phone and almost immediately gets a call from Tyreese. He answers."Yo bro!" Tyreese says.Rameek replies "What's good bro?" Tyreese's mom starts fussing at him in the background "Aye. Ain't I tell you to get up and do them dishes?!?! See this what I be talkin about..." Her voice starts to fade. Tyreese says with an irritated voice "Aye bro just slide by my crib later on.."You soon start to hear his mom fussing again.Rameek laughed "Ard man peace." They both hang up. Rameek yells out to his little brother "Jahlil!!"

He runs into his room "What?" Rameek replied "You wanna go play ball?" Jahlil replied quickly "Yeah imma go ask mommy" He goes to ask and Rameek could hear her saying "Go ahead, I don't care." He looks down to his phone and opened his Facebook to inbox Keyonna.He saw that she hasn't been online since 4 hours ago. He decides to just wait for her to text him. He gets up and throws his basketball shoes on. And walks out to his living room.Rameek stops himself when he sees his baby sister."Wheres my baby sistaaa?!?!" He takes when step closer while making a funny face,"There's my baby sistaaa!!" He says that two more times until he finally gets to her and he tickles his baby sister.She laughing mighty hard.Rameek does to because her laugh is extremely cute.He then feels his phone vibrate in his pocket.Rameek pulls it out and see that its a Facebook message. Its Keyonna.

A little bit of time flies bye and as soon as Rameek knows it, its 11:08. He thinks to himself "Damn it seem like it was just 10:01.." He turns off the Tv and walks to his room.As soon as Rameek starts to put his basketball shoes on he yelling to Jahlil "Yo bro..Hurry up we bout to be out!!" He hears Jahlil in the other room jumping off of his bed in a rush to grab his sneakers and leave.Rameek puts his phone in his back pockets and grabs his basketball. "Ard mom we leavin" She's on the phone with her friend so she pays him no mind. Rameek and Jahlil finally leaves.

Jahlil is bouncing the ball in the hallway while waiting for the elevator. The elevator always takes along time just to come down because kids playing on the elevator or crackheads holding it up to get high or to make deals.Considering they're on the 8th floor they can't walk down the stairs. Even if they wanted to the staircases are drowning in piss, crap on the walls, trash, crackbags, and crackheads getting high. So either way its a lose-lose situation.They decide to wait for the elevator. It finally arrives.. Its halfway crowded, but they don't care.They both still manage to fit on.They stop on each floor and you can hear people complaining and sucking they're teeth because there's no one even on the floor.

They finally reach the first floor and get off. Rameek starts to bounce the ball. Across the street is Reynolds his old school since last year.They're playground has a court. And behind the other building its another basketball court. He ask Jahlil "You wanna go to the green courts, or Reynolds?"Jahlil replies "Reynolds". They both start to walk Rameek says "Ard" They get there and they're shooting the ball. Jahlil has an alright shot but his handle is awful. "Yo bro, You gotta work on ya dribble.. You can't play with these other youngbulls if you keep stoppin n dribblin.. and almost losin the ball all the time. Pass me the ball" He starts dribbling the ball behind his back and between his legs. Then shoots it.He goes in and Jahlil runs to catch it. "You got lucky dickhead!!" He hears that from outside the courts.. its Keyonna. She starts to walk into the courts."You hype or naw that I came to see you?" Rameek laughs "Haha Nah. You ain't nobody special" She laughed saying "Yeah ard RaRa..Deep down you kno imma star" They both laugh. They go to sit on the steps.Keyonna turns to him "So what you up to today?" Rameek replied "Nothin really.Just chillin with the bros." She rolled her eyes and said "You mean them weirdos?" She looks across the street.Soon Rameek notices what she said. He sees Tyreese and Shymir walking into the courts eating chips. "Imma tell em you said that!" He jumps up and runs to them. Keyonna grabs his arm while still sitting saying "Nooo!!" in a begging voice. He breaks free.She's laughing and sighing. He walks over to Tyreese and Shymir. He says to them "When we walk over there act like yall don't fuck with her n imma say that's what she said." They laughed and said "Ard we got you, we got you." They started walking towards her and Rameek sad loud enough for Keyonna to hear "That's what she had said" She looks at Rameek while lifting her head up "Oh my gooood!! Why would you tell them I said thaat!" They looked at her with a straight face trying not to laugh.Tyreese asked her "Said what?" Keyonna sucked her teeth and threw a punch to Rameek while saying "See you play too much" She smile. Rameek, Tyreese, and Shymir all bust out laughing. Rameek teases Keyonna "You snitched on ya self dickhead" She rolled her eyes saying "Yeah whatever" she's laughing also. Rameek turns to the other 2. "So where yall goin?" Shymir says to him quickly "Last day of basketball camp" Rameek replied "Oh that's why yall got them nut ass bookbags on?" They laugh. Tyreese said "Yeah we was on our way but then we said you boo lovin with the bae" Rameek replied to while they were teasing him "Nahh don't dickeat!" He start to laugh "Well go head nigga before coach whoop yall ass" Shymir replied "I wish that nigga would hahaha..Beat that old ass" They all laugh hard."Ard bro we out" Tyreese said while shaking his hand. Rameek does the same for Shymir, then turns around and sees Keyonna on her phone texting. "Who you textin!? Who textin?!" He says in a hype joking voice "She pulls her phone from his face while saying "Stooop.Haha Nosey ass" He laughs "No I'm not.. But what time is it?" She looks at him, sucks her teet, and then smiles "Nigga you got ya own phone right? Use that to see the time" He laughed then replies "Oh you right! Remember that.." Keyonna looked up fast "Noo RaRa I'm juss playin! Here" By then he pulled his phone out already. "Too late..Its 11:36" Keyonna replied quickly "Suck my zzick" Rameek smirks and then mumbled "Ard mines first though" They both laugh.

Jahlil walks over to them. "I'm ready to go now yo." Rameek replies "Ard lets go" All 3 of them get up and walks across the street.When they get to the lobby door Rameek looks at Jahlil. "Yo when you get to the door tell mommy I got back on the elevator..ok?" Jahlil agrees.They shake hands and Rameek walks off with Keyonna."So where we goin?" Rameek asked.He pulls out his phone because he heard his notifications ring. Its Daquan, it says 'Yo bro slide to my crib at 2' Rameek texts back "Ard". Keyonna starts to talk "i dont know.. umm lets go to the king even though its empty"

On they're way to the king center they see these 2 crackheads fighting. They laugh because both of them are screaming to the top of they're lungs, because somebody wanted to borrow a dollar or something like that.The subject is stupid, but it gives Rameek and Keyonna something to laugh and joke about while they're together. "Yo Keyonna you gotta control ya uncle, he be wildin!" Rameek said while laughing Keyonna threw a soft punch to his arm "Stop playin RaRa they don't look nothin like my family."

They finally get to the King center.Its only a couple of blocks down from Paulino's. For some reason that day its really empty. Rameek and Keyonna both sit at the benches."I really do miss chillin with you like this RaRa." Keyonna says, while smiling at him.Rameek knows that he feels the same way. Rameek replies "I really miss us" She looks at Rameek in disbelief. She was suprised at his response because it was completely unexpected. "Well you don't have to miss 'us' cuz we can be together again... As if nothing changed." Keyonna said. Rameek looks at her and kisses Keyonna. She kissed him back n they stop and smile at eachother. "So its official?" Rameek says. Before she can answer, Rameek's phone rings. Its Daquan and he answers."Yo bro come to my crib now!!" Said Daquan. Rameek looks at Keyonna as they both smile "Ard bro" Rameek stands up and puts his phone away.

He runs off saying to Keyonna "So it's official? " They both let off an agreement smile.

Rameek starts knocking on Daquan's door. Daquan opens it with a serious look on his face. Rameek walks in and see's Tyreese sitting on the couch. "Yo bro...We been thinkin bout what Tymeer said" Daquan said "and uhh we thinkin bout sellin." Rameek looked at both of them like they were crazy. "Nigga what?!?!" Daquan continued "Yo you know you like our brother man! We wasn't gon go head and do it n not include you." Tyreese cut Daquan off "Look man, me, you, day day, n shy we all a circle. It wouldn't be right if we ain't include you in this to eat with us." Rameek walks towards the door saying "Ayo I do alot of stupid shit with y'all niggas-" He opens the door and walks out "-but yall niggas trippin with that yo I'm out!" He walks down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. He's pissed that they even mentioned this.
