Blurred vision, heart pumping I heard words.

Male, annoying.

Feeling the crust on my eyes, I opened my eyes to see... Daxter, and then Jak... and a precursor statue? Jerking up, Daxter flung in front of me. I turned around, to see a statue that had my scared. "What happened? Where are we?" I glanced to Jak and Daxter as the little ottsel staggered to stand up after my jump.

"We're at the precursor temple." Jak set an arm on my shoulder.

"Wh-What...? I've been trying to get in here for years."  I replied, looking at Jak he seemed worried and it clicked that I was throwing up blood. Feeling up my stomach, I felt... something like streaks across my abdominal region. Taking my eyes to it, they're darken and not a pretty sight. "What the hell?"

"One of my... nails broke off inside of you." Jak replied, frowning. "I hit your ribcage, and it was left in there." He got closer, setting a hand on my cheek. "You've been out for days, and I brought you here after I found out that this is here." He looked up to the precursor that was closing its eyes slowly and I felt sadden that Jak could get in here so easily.

"How did you get past the gate...?" I asked, slightly upset.

"New powers..." He trailed off, as I felt his grabbed brush on my cheek. "Aiden, I've missed you for a long time. I thought we were friends but I guessed wrong."

"We are friends." I shoved his hand away. "Listen, I thought I was straight dying. I confessed, but I'm not... emotionally available for relationships." I replied to make him a tiny bit shocked on what I said because it seem like such a surprise that I would reject him like that. It was just the fact that I've already moved on from the experience, and now I was dealing with a new can of worms with the old ones climbing up my back. Charming, right?

Daxter, trying to be the comic relief already offered me a capsule of green eco. "Did the precursor fix you up?" He grinned.

As I reached for it, it strained away. Causing me to sigh out and roll my eyes. "Still I can only absorb white eco." I looked at my hands, noticing them glow red so I stuffed them between my arms to try to cover them up so I wouldn't be visibly angry. "Ey'! Why can I only absorb white eco? Do you know how inconvenient it is to run back to my house and do the same thing over and over that takes about twenty tries before I get a right?" I called out, noticing nothing has changed and no answers was unveiled. Feeling worse than ever, it's not like he could ever get them to talk because I was just not as important as Jak. It made me feel unempowered, I wanted to be a hero...

"Maybe you need to do a test?" Daxter offered, as I pushed past him.

"I wasn't destined to be anything important... let's just go back." My eyes just stared at the floor and the boys lead the way out of this crap.
