"Ah... my little friends have come to see me off!" A voice echoes the room we wandered into. "I'd love to stay and chat but I have an appointment," Errol walked over to meet us halfway to raise his gun to us as Jak smacked it out of the way, "with the most powerful beings in the universe!"
"You're through metal monkey!" Daxter threatened. "Don't make me come over there and sic these two on you!"
"You're all too late." Errol turned back and walked calmly to the portal. "I already awakened the dark makers' ship!" I ran up to him out of reflex and Errol turned to point his weapon at me. Jak raised his ready to fire back. "When I come back I will be wielding the very power of precursors!" He started a chuckle and a sigh. "I'll see you there soon." He jumped into the portal and it shut off behind him.
"He got away again!" I moaned. "What are we gonna do now?" Turning to them.
"Run!" Daxter yelled, pointing behind me as Jak grabbed my wrist. The beeping of a bomb was going off behind and we ran to the edge of a window. No here was here and I looked to Jak. "We're gonna die!" Daxter screamed.
Jak looked sympathetic into my eyes and back at the warp pad Errol was blowing up on us. He grabbed my hand and looked over the city. There wasn't a way out? Someone should've showed up by now! I looked behind me and knew it was about to blow. We had no chance now for a break. I pulled Jak and Daxter along and we fell from the window downward.
"Aiden!" Daxter cried, holding onto Jak's shoulder pad for dear life as the area behind us exploded and took the whole tower with us. "What are we gonna do!?"
Jak clutched onto my hand tighter as the ground below us approached faster.
"I don't know!" I panicked, looking to Jak. "We didn't have a choice!"
"We're all gonna die as a pancakes instead of steak!"
The ground was 400 feet down and Jak pulled me in closer to give me the tightest hug he could give and I held him back to. I didn't want to die like this. "Hold on." Jak told us, erupting into a glowing mass and sprouting his wings again. He started flying again and it wasn't enough.
"Jak! We need more!" Daxter yelled as it only slowed our decent enough for one more factor.
I clicked on my hover boots, aiming them at the ground. "Keep trying Jak!" I held him tight.
As the ground made contact to my feet and the hover boots soften the blow enough to shatter both of my legs. I cried out in agonizing pain and Jak looked up to only then form a sheild around us. The debris from the tower fell on us and the sheild kept us safe from a slab of concrete that landed directly on us. It split into two and the dust settled to leave us together huddled together on the floor. I started crying from the pain, the boots were sparking from the malfunction from hitting it on directly.
"Fuck!" I screamed, trying to get my body to start running green eco through me. Jak fell to the floor, exhausted from using everything we both had. Daxter climbed over us, stepping on the concrete.
Daxter looked into the smoke and dust. "Help!" Daxter yelled out into the void. "Please! Anyone!" My vision started fading, my eyes growing heavy as the urge to knock out was apparent. "Hello!?" Daxter tried again, no one answered him.
"My legs... they're broken..." I said, the edge of my vision blurred. "I can't heal this." I shattered my legs and the pain was overwhelming.
"You're gonna be okay!" Daxter ran up to me. "Just stay awake!"
"Is Jak okay?" I asked, my head nodding off.
"He used up everything he got. He's out."
My head laid back onto the floor. Staring into the dusty sky. "Daxter, I don't wanna die..." I fought with myself to not close my eyes. "I wanna help..."
"We're getting out of this, I promise!" I'm gonna go look for help!" Daxter started running off into the cloud around us.
Turning my head to Jak, I see him fighting to stay awake like me. "Jak..." I said, his eyes landing on mine. He raised his hand to mine as we couldn't move. The darkness took over, I was out.
