"Mo?" My mom gently knocked on my door.
"Yeah? I'm getting changed, ma.
You can come in." I responded."I'll wait then, I'm not alone.
Your guest is here, sweetie."What?
It's 5:44 P.M.!
"Are you sure it's someone visiting me?
I arranged a meeting in more than an hour.""You did? Where did you get his number then?"
My mom sounded surprised. She can be so oblivious sometimes.
"I thought that you changed your mind and gave up the idea."
"Really, mother? You think so poorly of me."
I said a little louder than I expected due to the still closed door."Hoseok is coming at 7, who is the one waiting downstairs?"
"Hey, don't misinterpret, I wanted to cheer you up by inviting someone you have not seen in a long time! And that person is sitting right next to me." The tone of her voice became suddenly excited.
"Yeah? Who exactly?" I said opening my doors and saw her sitting on the corridor sofa right next to another figure.
I laid eyes on my favorite dark curls and the sweetest smile. My childhood (not only) crush has arrived. At. My. Place.
"Monnie! I'm so glad to see you!"
He exclaimed standing up and presenting his impressive height. Too, damn, tall."Channie? What are you doing here?"
I was so happy to see him, it's been years since we last saw each other in person."Just came by, since I wanted to see you, too." He flashed yet another gorgeous smile.
"Come 'ere, boo." He extended his long arms and embraced me welcomingly.
His delicate, yet masculine scent reached
my nostrils, leaving a pleasant feeling
of warmth within my body.I moved my chin up to look at him, my body still close to his, arms pressed gently against his back.
"I missed you, Channie. I'm glad you came."
I noticed my mother, still sitting there with
a grin plastered on her face."Sweet creatures, I'm going to leave you now. Please, take care of him, Co.
And you, Channie, make yourself at home.""Thank you, auntie."
My mom walked downstairs, humming
"You Can Leave Your Hat On" and swaying her hips. [a/n: you should totally listen to that]I simply love that woman.
"So, how have you been, Monnie?"
He looked down, our noses almost touching."I've been well but I really, really missed you."
I said honestly.Channie has been a friend of mine ever since
I remember. He is a son of my father's business partners and one who has had a similar life to mine - he was homeschooled, loved by his parents, yet lonely from time to time."I missed you more and you know that.
So, what are you up to tonight? Heard you had some guests coming? Should I leave before they arrive?""I invited an acquaintance, he's supposed to come over around 7. And no, I don't want you to go. I hope you'll get along. Maybe you already know him."
"What's his name? I guess you've mentioned
it while talking with your mom. Is it someone you've met recently?""Yes and no, it's like, I know his family, especially his siblings, but I've met him in person today."
