Seventeen year old Francesca Heaths is a perfectionist who had her whole life planned. Her past, present, and future were all secured in the comfort of her little coastal town of Tusca. She could already see her future; a professional swimmer, married to her best friend, and living on the cliffs at Tusca with a view of the endless ocean.
In her last summer as a high school student, everything she knows and loves is thrown into jeopardy. A broken heart, traumatic experience, and hospital visit later, Fran is pushed into a future she never planned.
Lost in a life so unfamiliar to her, Fran is forced to start anew. For a year, she is sent to live with a father she barely knows in the big city of Hendon. A chance to recover and move on. At least that's what her mother hopes. As Fran is propelled into a future she never wanted, she discovers that perhaps the life she had once wanted isn't the life she wants at all.
