Descendants - Cruella's Revenge

Part 11

 Back in Auradon, Carlos is waking up calmly for the first time in a week. He opens his eyes and smiles when he sees Jane sitting next to him reading a book. "Hey", he says softly, reaching over and placing his hand on her knee. "Hey. Did you sleep okay?", she asks with a smile. "Okay? I feel like I just slept for a month", he laughs, sitting up and stretching. Jane laughs and puts her book away as he stands ups. "Where's everyone at?", he asks, wanting to see his friends now that he's actually slept. "Oh, they went to take your mother back to the Isle and bring Evie back", Jane tells him. "Bring Evie back?", he asks, confusion written on his face. "While your mother came to see you, Ben let Evie stay with her mother for the day. They really missed each other", she answers, surprised at how much the Evil Queen cared about her daughter. "Well, in all honesty, Evie and her mom have always had the better relationship out of all of us. Like, my mother might have shown me some kind of love today...but she's still Cruella de Vil. She will never admit to anyone she loves me and, if I ever go back to the Isle, I'll probably be treated exactly the same as before", he tells her, a small tone of depression in his voice.

"Don't say that, Carlos. You're mother seemed like she had a new perspective when she left", Jane tells him with a smile. "Well, even if that's true, I know my mother pretty well", he replies, hoping to end the conversation. "Alright. I just hope you're wrong", Jane says, giving up and walking over to him. She takes his hand in hers and just smiles at him. He smiles back and begins to blush before deciding to say something. "J-Jane?", he stutters. "Yes?", she asks with a smile on her face. "Um, in one of my dreams, I, uh, I was going to tell you something and, um, I feel like I should say it", he tells her nervously, scratching the back of his head and smiling awkwardly. "And...what exactly is it you want to say?", she asks, herself becoming nervous. He licks his lips and nervously grips her hands. "I...um...I...", he starts, but is to flustered to continue. "Just say whatever it is, Carlos", Jane tells him calmly. He looks into her eyes and feels himself relax a little. Okay, a lot! "I...I think I...I really like you, Jane", he finally says. She smiles as he continues. "Actually...I think I might...love you", he finishes, his eyes never leaving hers. She blushes and says, "I think I might love you too."

His smile grows wider and bigger across his face as he embrasses her with a large huge. She hugs him back and doesn't want to let go until he pulls away and kisses her ON HER LIPS! She looks at him shock for a moment before laughing. "You caught me a little off guard there", she says, her face as red as Carlos' bedspread. "Sorry", he replies, embarrassed by his action. "It's fine. I'm...I'm glad you told me. And that you just did that", she tells him with a large smile on her face. He laughs and prepares to kiss her again. He gently places his hand on her cheek and pulls her closer easily before gently pressing his lips to hers. As they pull away, they can hear the others voices coming down the hallway. Seconds later, the door opens and everyone is in surprisingly good moods. "Carlos! Are you feeling better?", Evie asks, quickly walking over to him and giving him the biggest hug he'd ever gotten.

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better, Evie", he answers with a small laugh, hugging her back. "They told me that everything went okay with your mother. Is that true?", she asks with a hopeful look on her face. "It actually went...great. I think, for once in my life, I feel like I actually have some kind of connection with my mother besides just being her slave", he tells her with a small grin on his face. She smiles back and rubs his shoulder before turning her attention to Jane. "You helped us out a lot, Jane. Thank you for being there for Carlos", she says, taking the fairies hands in hers. "It was honestly no big deal. I enjoyed spending so much time with Carlos", Jane says, trying her best not to blush. Evie looks from her to Carlos and can see he's blushing too. "You guys are in love!", she suddenly exclaims, making everyone in the room jump. "Evie, what are you talking about?", Mal asks, confused as to why her friend just gave her a miniature heart attack.

Evie smiles at her and says, "It's obvious, Mal. They've spent so much time together, getting to know each other, and just...it's obvious!", the blue hair princess exclaims. Everyone's eyes focus on the two as they smile and Carlos nods his head. "You sly de Vil", Jay says with a wink. "Still not funny, Jay", Carlos laughs as his older friend gives him a fist bump. "Just so you guys know, Lonnie and Audrey have already deemed you guys Janlos.", Mal says, giving Jane a small hug. "Oh great. We've got a couple name", Jane laughs in embarrassment. "Is that a bad thing?", Carlos asks with a smile, taking her hand in his. She smiles back and says, "Not really." They get closer to each other for a moment before remembering all their friends are in the room; especially when they hear the snapping of Evie's camera. "You guys are going to be the CUTEST thing on Auradon Prep's website!", she exclaims before literally running out of the room to get her laptop. Jay and Mal follow, leaving only Carlos, Jane, and Ben in the room.

"Is everything okay, Ben?", Carlos asks, confused as to why he didn't leave. "Yeah, everything's fine. I'm just happy to see you feeling better, Carlos.", he replies with a smile. "Me too.", Carlos laughs, before seeing the king wiping his eye. "What's wrong?", Jane asks, concern on her face. "I'm just thinking about how dark of a place Carlos was in and, knowing I've been in a similar situation before...I guess I'm just reliving some memories. And...I'm just happy you're finally out of that dark place.", he replies with a small smile. Carlos pulls Ben to his feet and gives him probably the biggest hug, or maybe even the only hug, he's ever given the young king. Jane smiles as the two boys embrace before Ben ruffles Carlos' hair and says, "Well, I've got some stuff to do. You guys have a great day." "You too, Ben", Carlos replies with a large smile. As he leaves, Carlos turns his attention back to Jane. "So...where were we?", he asks in a laugh. She smiles and says, "I think we were here." She wraps her arms around his neck and gives him a very sweet kiss. He kisses back and thinks to himself, "The one good part of my nightmares that finally came true."

Sorry this part was so short. I actually never finished this part and I'm glad to finally finish haha. I'm so happy everyone has enjoyed this story, but I think it's time to put this one to rest. I'm so happy to have gains so much love for this story and I promise I will deliver more Descendants fanfiction. I have a pretty good one of Benlos I've been debating on posting or not, but we'll see haha
