"what do you mean your mafia is targeting him?!" yoongi bursted.

"i-its just that, uh, the mafia that im forced to work in wants him killed. y'know, dead. not alive. his jams are gon-"

"okay. we get it." both yoongi and namjoon said in unison.

"but that is absolutely not an excuse from what we need to know. say it right now." yoongi was saying through gritted teeth.

i looked at all of them, one by one. their facial expressions were all the same: confused and angry. but jin's expression was incomprehensible.

it was as if he actually felt sorry for me.

and so, I began explaining.

"you know how no one has met any of my family members, right?"

they all nodded in silence.

"they were all brutally murdered by some organization of thugs. I was the only lucky one, for they didn't see me hiding."

yoongi and namjoon's expressions remained the same. jin's, however, was very difficult to understand.

"the jeon mafia came to my rescue after my whole family was killed after me. ever since then, i have pledged my mind and soul to them."

"wait, jeon. as in jeon jungkook, tae's sugar daddy? they both fucking know each other!"

"yes, jeon jungkook."

at this point, my lips were quivering and I couldn't control it. it felt bittersweet telling them; the truth was out, but in exchange there's always some type of hatred.

my eyes were planted on the floor. the tension was so thick, and no one dared to move. it was one of those moments in which silence is louder than words.

finally, a voice broke the tense silence.

"im leaving. don't even think about coming after me. this whole life story doesn't excuse you from the actions you committed  towards tae." yoongi spoke in a rough voice.

"agreed. jin?" namjoon seemed to agree with yoongi on leaving me as well.

"no. unlike you guys, I actually have feelings. yoongi, next time we meet, you are absolutely getting a personal beating by me. how dare you give a response to your lover like that?! he just explained how whole entire depressing life story on how his family was murdered in front of him, and that's the response he gets? i swear to god, min yoongi, if I ever see your face again or anywhere near my jimin, you'll really see my wrath!"

the sudden outburst from jin left everyone confused.

"he's in a mafia that is targeting tae-"

"you place your childhood friend before your lover? what kind of messed up person are you? and namjoon. I cannot believe you are taking this ape's side. we are done. leave this house. and never come back."

"but babe-"

jin scoffed.

"unbelievable."

and with that, both namjoon and yoongi left the apartment, shocked and defeated. jin stayed to comfort jimin, the boy who had a hole in his heart, for his own lover was so quick to leave him after explaining his own difficulties.

he was sick of this fake love. but he was glad that at least there was one decent human being who had enough empathy to comfort him.
