As Matthew and Lysandros walked down the paved road, they saw other apprentices and mentors walking in the same direction as them. When he saw Jordan, he waved at him and grinned. Jordan ran over and said, "Where are you guys going? We're going to eat out for lunch!"

"Same here!" Matthew answered.

"Yipee!"

"Today is the day where all the mentors and apprentices eat out at the same place," Lysandros told them. "So you'll get to meet all of your friends." Matthew and Jordan's eyes widened and they grinned. They ran off down the road, and Sir Redmont came to Lysandros. "Kids. They always run off." They shared a knowing smile and talked about how it was going with their apprentices.

When Sir Redmont was explaining how Jordan was good at physical stuff, but no so much at studying, they heard a painful yell. Then, they heard a horrible REET. They both ran down the hill, and saw Jordan and Matthew facing a boar. "What is a boar doing here?" yelled Sir Redmont, and Lysandros shrugged. They ran down to help, but there was nothing they could do. They waited for their apprentices to die when the boar stopped moving. "What happened?" asked Sir Redmont. He obviously had no idea about what just happened. Lysandros had seen what happened. Matthew had cast a quick spell of paralyzing, and the boar's legs had stopped working. And then, without hesitating, Jordan unsheathed his sword and stabbed it through the heart. It was a very good example of teamwork. But then, the whole village came over to look, and both Matthew and Jordan were stuck inside the crowd. Lysandros grabbed them, and they were hauled outside of the crowd.

"What do you think you're doing?!" asked Lysandros angrily. "You could've gotten killed!"

"Wait a minute Liam. They saved the innocent by being brave. You've got to give them credit for that right?" Sir Redmont said

"I suppose you're right..." grumbled Lysandros. "But don't do that again."

Matthew and Jordan looked at each other. "Okay sir."

But they both knew the life of adventure had just started for them, and they loved it.

They finally reached the lunch place, and saw that they were the first there. They sat down on in one group, and talked to each other, Jordan talking to Matthew, Lysandros talking to Sir Redmont. They were happy, but they all knew something was happening. No boars ever came this far. They were on their guards, and would never lower them.
