“Kelly?” Liam said snapping back from my vision.
“I’m sorry what?” I said looking at everyone.
“Kelly asked if you could walk with her to the wash room.” Calum said softly.
“Oh um yea.” I said.
Kelly and I turned and walked quickly. I followed a few steps behind Talia. As soon as we made it to the wash room she hunched over quickly as if she might throw up but nothing came.
“Are you ok?” I said putting my hand on her back.
“No..No I’m not ok.” She said standing up straight and looking at me. “What am I suppose to do? Tell me what to do. I can’t do this.” She said quickly. She was shaking now. She was freaking out.
“Talia you have to calm down.”
“How am I supposed to calm down? They are going to railroad him don’t you see. He is gone. Calum is gone. They are going to send him away. Niall is on the council. They would never get rid of him.” She said before putting her hand over her mouth, holding in a sob. I looked down because I knew she was right. It made no since to get rid of Niall. He was beneficial to the group. He helped take care of the sick and wounded. He was on the council. He had history here. Calum was a new comer and he was already causing trouble. There was no way in hell, even if he hadn’t started the fight, that they were going to let him stay.
“He is going to be alone Kelly. All alone out there. In the nothing. There is nothing out there for him. He will die.” She pointed at the wall, but I knew she meant in the wilderness.
“Not necessarily Talia. Louis was out there and he was fine.”
“Louis is different.”
“How is he different?” I asked putting my hands on my hips.
“He’s the founder.”
“What?” I scrunched my face.
“You don’t know that?” She said almost giggling and it made me happy for a second to see the panic almost erased from her face.
“SO wait, this place was Louis’s idea?”
“Yea. He thought of it. He helped build most everything here.”
“Then why did he leave?”
“That I don’t know. All I know is one day..He was just gone. And Liam took over. He and Louis were the council so when he left he was alone. So he picked the guys we have now.”
I sat thinking for a minute. If this whole place was Louis’s idea why would he just walk away from it. And why would he keep warning me about it.
There was a tap on the door and I turned opening the door. Carissa stood there biting her lip.
“They want you back.” She said softly. I nodded and closed the door before turning back to Talia.
“They want us-“
“Yea I know.” She said sort of hugging her stomach.
“Talia, its going to be ok.”
“It’s not though. I finally have something familiar. I have something that meant something to me before. And I’m about to lose it…Again.”
“But there has to be a reason he was gone to begin with.” I said biting my lip. “And you have Niall now. Doesn’t that mean anything?” I asked. I hadn’t realized this had hit a cord with me. But maybe I wasn’t mad at her I was mad at me. But I was obviously taking it out on her.
