Nat's POV
I couldnt believe this. It was Evie. Steves ex girlfriend. I hated her so much. I always told Steve she wasnt any good for him. "What the hell Steve!? Your cheating on me?!" When she said that I got pissed off. He was still dating her? I slapped him as hard as I could and walked off letting tears run down my face. They werent sad tears, they were angry tears. I headed home wanting to kill Steve. How could he? He said he loved me. This is why Im never open with my feelings. I got home went in the house, layed on the couch and start to cry. I really had feelings for Stevie. But I would show him. Show him i didnt care. Next thing I knew Darry walked into the house all tired from work and I just layed there crying my eyes out. He layed his hand on my back and light rubbed it. "You okay kid sister?" He asked me softly and not really knowing what to do. "He's a lying, no good, bastard Dar. I hate him" I said sobbing between my words. I was so heart broken "Who princess?" He asked me sounding concerned. "Steve." I said and started crying even harder
Darry's POV
When she said Steve I knew she had fell for him. She had always liked
him. We could all see it. I was ready to find little Stevie Randle and kill him. No one hurts my kid sister. No one.
Nat's POV
"Darry what do I do? I loved him." I said still sobbing. He kept rubbing my back. He stayed quiet. Then we heard the screen door shut. "Hey Two-bit. Can you talk to her. Shes your bestfriend." Darry said. Then i darted up hugging Two-bit tight crying. He rubbed my back lightly and kissed my head. "Its ok princess. Its ok I'm here." He said hugging me and still rubbing my back. Then Sodapop and Steve showed up from work. Followed by Johnnycake who I hadnt seen in a while. I stepped back from Two-bit and wipped the tears away and walked outside and hugged johnny. "Hey kid. How have u been?" I said seeing the fresh black eye he had. "Your old man do this to you?" I ask lightly touching his eye. "Yeah. Its nothing new. This always happens." He said moving my hand "Now everyone is here. Besides Dallas. Is he in the cooler again? Wait wheres Ponyboy?" Next thing we heard was screams. And they were Ponyboy's screams.
