Charlotte's POV:

Alex and I sat on a bench at a park, looking at the light pink roses. It's been a few hours since the episode in the cafeteria. After we all cried, Alex asked if I wanted to hang out for a bit, which I did, so here we are. In a park. On a bench. With a sandwich each in our hand. We haven't talked that much, except for when we were in the car, listening to music. Surprise, we don't have the same taste in music, although I must admit that his taste in music isn't horrible.

"Do you like your sandwich?" Alex asked softly. I nodded and took a bite of the turkey-sandwich.

"Do you?" Alex said yes, even though he had barely touched it. I saw children and adults holding hands. Laughing. Smiling. Talking. Running around, admiring the flowers and the bushes. I would be lying, if I said it didn't sting a bit. I looked at Alex, his face glum, but somewhat satisfied at the same time.
