It had been 5 years since you had been separated from your best friend and now boyfriend, Jeon Jungkook. Although you both were literally a country apart, you being in your hometown Busan and Jungkook in Seoul, you still managed to make it work.

At the beginning when Jungkook first moved up to Seoul to become an idol, it wasn't a romantic relationship but a close friendship as you were both young. That didn't mean you both didn't bawl your eyes out when you said goodbye at the train station.

After about 3 years after the separation, and when you were both 17, Jungkook had mustered up the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend, even if the only way to communicate was through technology. You obviously said yes. However you couldn't say it out in the public as he was an idol and scandals were the last thing you both wanted.

Not even his own members knew of the relationship.

Whenever you had the chance to talk it's either be in an online game or it'd be in the middle of the night when he was alone and his hyungs were asleep. And when he wasn't busy with idol things.

Luckily though, tonight was one of those nights you could talk. You had made a rule that the two of you had to at least have 1 video call a month - and though it seemed only like a little bit of time, the call lasted at least 2 hours.

You were sat in your room at your desk, laptop open as you finished off some late night studying. Jungkook had texted you earlier in the day saying that he'd call tonight as he said he would have time to.

You could feel your eyes becoming heavy as the clock reached 11:30. You were about to drift off when the ringing of an incoming FaceTime call rang through your room.

You quickly scrambled to readjust your glasses that had become crooked whilst also turning down the volume so you didn't wake your parents. You then quickly pressed the answer call button and the picture of a fluffy bunny appeared on the screen.

"Jagiya~ I missed you~" the bunny boy spoke as you had appeared on his monitor.

"I missed you too~" you coo back as you smile. However your smile faltered as you noticed the tired look on his face: "You look tired..."

Jungkook just sighed as he knew there was no point objecting to your statement as it was true. He had just finished a 6 hour dance practice for the upcoming comeback.

"I told you, Kookie, if you need to sleep then go ahead. You shouldn't make me your priority..." you said as you rested on your hand and let your eyes scan is face, noticing the semi noticeable bags under his eyes.

"But we made a promise to talk at least once every month. I'm not going to be the bad boyfriend who breaks promises," he said trying to make himself seem less tired. He then continued, trying to change the topic, "Anyway, how was the test? It was last week wasn't it?"

"Yeah. I think I did okay. But I have another one in 2 days... you're so lucky you don't have to go to school and do all these test."

"Well, I do do tests. Just they're online ones," he let out.

You talked for about an hour before a comfortable silence fell over the two of you. Even though you two were hundreds of miles away from one another, it felt as if you were there together. Jungkook allowed his eyes to trace every bit of your face loving how your slightly messy hair framed it perfectly.

He then broke the silence as his gaze landed on your lips. "I wish I could kiss you..."

He continued on, "I wish I could hold you..."

"But I'm too damn far away..."

"I know... but your dream was to be an idol. And there you are. Being one of the top idols in all of Korea," you say as you watch him stare at you with a sad smile.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
