TONY'S POV

"Steve, I just got a call that Peter's in the nurse. I better go see if everything's okay." I said, as I rushed out the door. I hopped in my car and drove as fast as I could.

I ran through the hallways, praying that my boy was okay. My heart sunk as I opened the door to the nurse's office. Peter sat on the bed, icing his black eye. "Oh my God, Pete, what happened?"

"It seems he got into a bit of a fight today, Mr. Stark," the nurse said. "He should be fine." Peter didn't look at me. He didn't even say a word. "Thank you," I told the nurse. "Come on, Pete, let's get you home."

The car ride was silent, besides Peter's anxious tapping. "So are you gonna tell me what happened, bud?" Nothing. "Come on, Pete, please."

"I don't want to talk about it," he mumbled, looking out the window. "Why did you have to come get me?" he said quietly.

"What was that?"

His tone became angry, "Why did you have to come save me? You always have to be the hero, don't you Dad? Well guess what, maybe I didn't want you to come get me. Maybe, I don't need Iron Man to protect me anymore."

I didn't know what to say. All I could manage was, "Pete."

"Don't call me that. My name is Peter."

PETER'S POV

I knew I shouldn't have been so hard on my dad. I knew it was all because he cared. But I was just so angry, and sick of everyone comparing me to them all the time.

I just wanted to be something special, but I'm not.

As soon as the car pulled up, I ran to my room and locked the door. I looked at my spiderman suit. I wished I could tell Dad and Pops that I was a hero like them, but they would never approve. Super hero, or not they'll never approve of me.

I put on the suit and snuck out my window.

STEVE'S POV

As soon as Peter came home, he ran to his room and shut his door. I knew something was up. "Tony, what did you do?"

"Why do you always assume I did something? Steve, our son got into a fight today." A fight? That doesn't sound like Peter. "What happened?"

"I don't know, he wouldn't talk to me. And when I tried asking, he yelled at me and told me he didn't need Iron Man to save him anymore. Steve, what are we gonna do?"

"Why don't we go talk to him, together." Tony nodded, and grabbed my hand. We walked up to Peters room.

The door was locked. "He never locks the door." I knocked. "Peter, bud, we just want to talk to you okay?" No answer. "Peter, please open up."

I used my strength and broke through the door. There was no sign of him. "Peter!" Tony began to panic.

"Oh, no. Oh, no. He's gone! This is all my fault!"
