She had no words...and she loved it.

Prologue-Boyfriend and Girlfriend?! You mean it?!

She was dumbfounded. Completely and utterly speechless and taken aback by what she'd just heard come from his tongue. Her face was shaded a deep pink, warm to the touch, growing in color by the second. Her heart sped up, pounding against her rib cage hard. Almost like it was trying to burst out of her breast, onto the table, right in front of him! 'How embarrassing that'd be.' she thought, wringing her hands beneath the table.

He gazed at her with soft eyes, their blue irises sparkling in the gleam of the afternoon sun, and took a small sip of the iced tea he'd ordered minutes before. Had he gone too far? Should he have not asked such a silly question like that? He felt his stomach sink further down the longer she sat in silence across from him.

"It's okay if you say no Yukako, it was a stupid question anyway." he told her cheerfully, his own cheeks beginning to flush from embarrassment and remorse.

Yukako snapped out of her lovestruck, 'what-if' state of mind and shook her head furiously, her eyes open wide as her hands went to work smoothing out her slithering hair.

"NO! I-I mean, no, it's not a dumb question...if anything it's the most amazing question I've ever heard Koichi-kun..." she lowered her head, nodding his way as she spoke. "I-I...I'd love to..."

"R-really?!" Koichi exclaimed, almost knocking over his tea as he stood up from his seat. "You mean it?! You really mean it?!"

His smile was wide, reaching nearly from ear to ear as he blinked back now absent tears, the heart inside his chest pumping louder than he'd ever heard it go.

Yukako felt her own lips upturn into a smile at his reaction to her saying yes. 'He...really wants this...' she thought, and all of her worries shattered to the ground in a heap of dust with him beaming her way.

"Yes! Yes, yes, yes! Koichi-kun I'd give you the world! I'd give you the stars! I'd love to be your girlfriend!" Yukako jumped to her own feet, dropping the napkin that laid across her lap, letting her hair go wild in the wind behind her as she scooped the boy into her arms for a tight hug, his arms wrapped around her waist and hers laced around his shoulders.

They both blushed, holding the embrace for a bit, until the people seated around them began to stare and whisper as Yukako's hair wandered around Koichi's back to hold him closer. She let him go and took her seat again, wiping her eyes daintily with the side of her hand as Koichi took his.

"So...we're now...boyfriend and girlfriend huh, Yukako...?" he asked with a small laugh, turning around in his seat to ask for a check.

Yukako nodded happily, her head in the clouds, her heart welling up with nothing but love and care for the blond boy across from her.

"Boyfriend and girlfriend." she repeated to herself, watching as her new boyfriend waved over a waiter and collected the check for them. "I love the sound of that."

Eeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy...so um...how was it? Trash right? Lol I have no clue...but it was fun to write and hopefully you guys think it's fun to read.
