Claire ☝☝☝
Leon's pov
Jill placed a ice pack to Sherry's head while Chris sat next to the blond girl, staring at his hands.
"Ouch" Sherry mumbled as Jill eased the ice pack from her head a bit.
"Sorry honey, she knocked you up pretty good" she stated as she attend to her headache in a gentle manner.
"Maybe Ada was actually right, we need to think like him if we ever want to get Claire back" Chris stated, leaning back as he ran his finger through his hair.
I continued pacing the room, trying to think of something. Something that could lead us closer to Claire.
Nothing.
"I'm gonna prepare something for you to eat, don't take that ice pack from your head. Chris watch her" Jill stated as she pointed to Chris before heading for the kitchen.
"Can you get me a cold beer Jill?" Chris asked, only for Jill to peep from the kitchen.
"Everything is my fault remember" Jill threw back as she took her eyes from Chris to me. "What can I get you Kennedy?" Jill asked.
"Water is fine" I told her as I finally sat down, placing my gun on the table before me. She nodded and left.
Jill then returned, a bottle of water in one hand and a cold beer in the other. She handed me my water, which I opened instantly.
"Thank you" I told Jill who nod while I drank the cool water. She then placed the beer in Chris's hand, not sparing him a glance as she headed for the kitchen.
"Thanks babe" Chris yelled after her but she still ignored him.
"What did you do?" Sherry asked as Chris sipped his beer.
"Don't you have a headache ?" Chris asked as he took the bottle from his lips. Sherry went silent.
"Here you go Sherry" Came Jill's voice as she handed sherry her meal with some orange juice.
"About fifteen minutes after eating I'll get you the pills" Jill stated as she sat next to the blond girl. Blowing her instant noodles while she eyed Chris and I.
"Leon's friend did say she'd help us" Jill stated as she slurped her noodles.
"We are never trusting that woman again Jill" Chris state before he looked to Sherry.
"Look what she did to Sherry, we are lucky that she decided to spare lives" Chris continued.
There was then the cry of a baby, me placing the bottle of water onto the table.
"Dad duties I guess" Jill stated as she continued slurping her noodles.
"I guess" I responded, taking the crying child in my arms.
As soon as the child was no longer in Claire's arms she looked next to her in surprise.
The baby went silent, his tiny hand curling around my finger. I blinked as the baby smiled, apart from my gray eyes he resembled his mother greatly.
"How did you know? How could you possibly know what he wanted?" She asked and I looked at her. Okay so maybe she was a bit jealous but wouldn't any mother be?
Mothers are usually better with kids.
"I didn't" I told her honestly and she looked down at the gray eyes of our baby.
"You think Something woke him?" She asked. A question I highly doubt as a possibility of him waking up.
"This area is quiet, I don't think there are any sounds to wake him" I told her truthfully. I preferred quiet environments.
