Xander interrupts him with a harsh speaking fashion you've rarely seen him use.
"You guys are just wasting your time here. Just leave us alone."
You're too shocked to say anything, and after a slight hesitation, he turns on his heel and walks away. You don't remember the direction because of the warm tears blurring your vision, and you look down. The other boys eventually leave to their own destinations, and when you look up, the last boy standing there is Danny. You tilt your head, thinking that he should have been one of the first to go and comfort Xander, but that's evidently not the case. He shuffles his feet and clears his throat a bit, and you're about to leave when he sighs sadly and says
"We'll all miss you, even if some of us wouldn't ever dream of admitting it.
It was fun, Mari. See you around."
He leaves just like all the others did, and you slump against the wall, knowing that everything would be different.
