I woke from a ray of sunlight hitting my face. I opened my eyes and looked around the place. It took me a few seconds to realize what happened last night.
How the night started with me and Patrick having dinner, and ended with Jackson kissing my forehead. Wow. Did it really happened last night?
I can't erase the smile on my face on my way to the kitchen.
Even though Patrick and I had a conflict on our friendship it didn't made me feel gloomy because Jackson's gesture last night was enough to make me feel positive today.
I saw Germaine and Tori's stare at me, but me showing up suddenly here seems like didn't made them surprise. Maybe my parents told them I'd be here, or Patrick maybe.
I started eating the pancake they prepared for me. Maybe I should ask them how'd they knew I am here. I was pretty sure last night that no one saw me getting inside my room.
"After you eat will head to the school for the rehearsal since the day of our show is fast approaching." Germaine said. I nodded and continued eating.
I heard Tori cleared her throat. It's like she has something to ask but she is hesitating or she is having a hard time contemplating on how she will deliver her question to me.
"Spit it out, Tor." I said since I don't want to ruin the positivity I am feeling right now while trying to figure out what she wants to tell me.
She took and deep breath and look at Germaine before the both of them started screaming. The both of them immediately run to my direction and sat on the chairs beside me. They are both looking at me with goofy smiles plastered on their faces.
"Why were you with Jackson last night?" Tori directly asked.
I immediately drank water while trying to contemplate some words to feed their curious minds.
"And what with the hug and kiss in the forehead?" Germaine's question made choke the water I'm drinking. Darn. They saw what happened last night. What I want right is to hide from them. Knowing them, they won't stop until I give them a satisfying explanation.
I guess I don't have a choice.
"Well..." I tried to reminisce what happened last night. Starting from Patrick until Jackson. No matter how painful the things that happened to Patrick and I last night I still can't help but giggle on Jackson.
Selfish it may sound but I'd do it all over again the things that happened last night knowing I will end up with Jackson.
I heard someone cleared their throat. I look at them both and they are both returning me with a blank stare. I tried to suppress my smile and acted serious.
I started to the story from how Patrick asked me to go on a date with him. How we both ended up in a very awkward situation, and how our friendship is slowly drifting away because of his confession. I told them everything that happened last night. How I bumped into Jackson. I just had a hard time on explaining to them on why Jackson hugged and kissed me on the forehead. Well, maybe it was just his way of telling me that everything will turn out fine soon.
I let out a deep breath after my long explanation and gave them time to suppress everything I said. Even I also need more time to think if everything that happened last night was even real.
"Wow." Germaine and I look at Tori with a surprise look on her face. "I never thought Patrick is willing to risk your friendship just to tell you what he truly feels."
"That's so brave and at the same time, stupid." Germaine added. "He did not even deliver to you slowly the words. He didn't even mind that I will make you feel awkward, and knowing you, you will be feeling guilty for not returning the feelings for him. That all you can offer is friendship."
