ANNABETH POV

My eyes glued to the view beyond the glass that stands between me and the sea. My frail bones lift me up. I place my my hand on the thick layer of glass, and start banging rapidly on the large window. The less I feel in my hand, the harder I punch the wall. Tears come rushing down my cheeks and I immediately wipe them away. My breaths are cut short and my face is lunged into a frown. I slowly collect myself, and start breathing normally again. I proceed to sit on the couch right behind me.

I turn on the tv and look for my favourite channel but I can't focus, so I decide to go read a book.

Oh, by the way, my name is Annabeth chase. And I have SCID. My immune system sucks.

Let me explain. In every drop of blood, there are special cells called lymphocytes. Some of these lymphocytes are really good at fighting bad guys, like viruses and bacteria, but I have SCID, which means I have way fewer lymphocytes than normal, and then ones that I do have, well, their not so good at fighting

I exercise, and I read a lot of books. I'm not allowed to leave the house, because simple viruses, can kill me.

The first book I see is Harry Potter, one of my favourites. I grab the book and venture to my bedroom. As I flop down onto my bed, I hear a loud horn from outside. I quickly run to my window, and look outside.

There I see an enormous truck. Probably filled with items. I was wondering where our neighbours went, I just thought they left for a holiday, I didn't think they had left the house. Next I saw a blue car parking right I front of the houses garage. A gorgeous, kind of elderly women comes out, followed by a nice looking man but what really caught my eye was the boy coming out from the back. His hair was black and scruffy, I have to admit, it made him look extremely hot and his biceps and abs looked like their were trying to rip his tight shirt. And then finally, I got a glimpse of his eyes, as he looked at me, our faces directly towards each other.

His eyes were a beautiful sea green. It reminded me of the waves i've always wanted to surf on, and the seaweed that lays on the beach which so desperately wants to go back into the ocean. They were eyes I'd remember forever.

PERCY POV

We have just arrived at our new home in San Francisco. My mum and Paul got out of the car almost immediately, I followed. As soon as I opened the door I was welcomed with the beautiful smell of pine trees. I glance to my right and look up at the house next to us, there I see something mesmerising.

A blonde girl standing in a white shirt and denim jeans was looking at me. She is gorgeous. Her princess curls cascade down her neck, and she has a few in the front framing her face. She is extremely tan, but it was obviously natural, it doesn't look that she goes out a lot though, how is she so tan and her eyes, oh don't get me started, they are so intense, I wish I could get a closer look but she is a couple of metres above me.

I wave with a goofy grin on my face and she waves back slightly hesitant. I winked at her and she blushed. It was cute knowing I could make her blush with a simple wink. I want to speak with her, but she looks a bit trapped in her house, like she's never left.
