I decided to not carry on with the whole story I was doing before bc I was running out of ideas with it so instead this is just gonna b somewhere I can just write a load of random grandice stories I come up with so they won't be linked, each chapter will be a completely different story - I'll sum up at the beginning quickly what the situation is🙃

In this fic grant isn't dating la and both him and Candice are single but like each other so yah basically how it is now🙂

All of the main cast members are expected to be going round Candice's condo tonight to watch the finale; so that's Jesse, Danielle, Dani, Carlos, Danielle, Jessica (the new Jessica), Kim and ... Grant. Grant Gustin. The guy that still brings butterflies to Candice Pattons stomach four years from their first meeting. Her best friend - the guy that she can't wait to talk to at the end of the day, the guy that she can always go to about anything and would drop everything just to be there for her and make everything okay. But there was always that one thing she couldn't ever talk to him about; the only real pain behind her smile that he can't fix. Well he can... by loving her in the same way that she loves him. But she never wanted to take the risk to give it a try - they have too much to lose.

Candice never really likes watching herself on TV but everyone has been planning this for ages and she wants to spend the evening with them they're her family.

The only people who knew about her dying love for Grant was Danielle and Kim. Danielle figured it out (apparently it was really obvious) and she'd told Kim when she was feeling down one day and they were hanging out together. Plus she's a good friend of hers and knows she can trust her with it. She's a wise woman.

Candice cleaned up her condo and laid out chips and cookies and casual party food on her coffee table and she went out and bought plenty of whine for later on.

Her phone buzzes and she looks to see its Grant. She can't help but smile when she sees his name - it was like an instant reflex for her.

Hey, is there anything you need I'm in target and idk if you need me to bring anything for tonight? (Can't wait btw😆) xx

He was so adorable. Everything he does just makes her love him even more and she hated herself for it because she believes that nothing would come of it; that they're destined to be "just friends" and she's just his "TV wife". But she didn't want that. Yeah, she loved being iris - to live in that perfect fantasy world where she was his everything. Where Barry falls asleep with iris in his arms and waked up that way. Where she is free to say "I love you" to him all she wants as long as it's in the script. Where she can kiss his lips and just pretend it's for real. But she didn't want to have to fantasise... she wanted every part of it to be real. To be a grandice and a westallen.

No its okay Grant ty! Just bring yourself hon xx

She replied.
They were all expected to be arriving in half an hour so she quickly took Zoë for a walk around the block.

While she was out she thought about Grant even more. She did this often. Being out, giving herself space gave her time to think and reflect on everything. On many occasions she would compare her and Grant to Barry and Iris and all of her hoped that maybe they were more alike than she realised; and that Grant did love her but was too scared to confess his feelings just like her.

Candice was never the kind of girl to ask a guy out - it always had to be him. Grant however is quite a nervous person in general so she understood that even if he did like her he probably wouldn't confess it but then she argued that if he truly liked her that much he would gain some nerve to ask her just because it's what he wanted so badly but he never has and that broke her heart. In order just to make herself feel better she settled on the idea that if he is just too nervous he'll drop hints and leave it up to her to actually say something eventually. The fans seem to think he likes her which gave her much hope. Groups of them have said how they're far too close to be classed as "friends" which was the same situation as Barry and Iris which is a good sign.
