It has been a day since the shooting. I walk to the living room. Alexis is lying close to Zac. Whatever Zac says, he clearly likes her. I scrape my throat. "Alexis? I need to talk to you. Zac, would you like to sit down somewhere else?" Zac nods and walks away. I'm going to sit next to Alexis.
"What do you want to talk about?" She asks.
"I intend to send you undercover if you are 18."
She is quiet. "Undercover?"
''Yes, undercover.''
''What should I do then?''
''Keep an eye on people, perhaps kidnap them.''
''As?''
''Recently someone bought drugs. But he has not paid. It would be handy if you kidnap him so that we still get the money. And maybe you could go with Zac if he had to shadow a dangerous person. "
I see her swallow. "I can not kidnap anyone at all, I don't know how."
"We can work on that. What do you think?''
"I do not know if I really have a choice." She says.
''Yes and no.''
''I have to think about it if you don't mind. ''
''I get that.''
"If I say yes, how do we start?"
''Then you would start training until you turn 18. Then you could go undercover."
She nods. ''You will hear the answer tomorrow.''
''Okay, I'll talk to Zac for a while, because he would become your trainer until you're 18.''
"Okay." I walk in the direction Zac has been walking.
"What was that about?" He asks
"I intend to send her undercover."
He smiles. ''She really does not survive that.''
"No, I know that. That's why you have to be her trainer until she turns 18. Then she goes undercover."
"Has she already agreed?"
''No, but I know she will.''
"How do you know that for sure?"
"When I said that you were her trainer, a look in her eyes changed. She's crazy about your Zac."
''She is?''
''Yes, and you too on her'', he does not answer. That means that I am right. "I'll see some time." I walk back to my office with a peaceful feeling. I knew that Alexis would come in handy.
