. . .

Unbothered eyes that are always focused onto one spot. Her hair was always tied up into a ponytail, showcasing the rank on the collars of her uniform. Each officer's uniforms distinguish between one another from the colour itself. MinYoung was on a silver rank. Others were on bronze. Some were platinum and gold.

Her grandfather was the only diamond tinted collar. No one needed to see the old man's rank since his authority overwhelmed his feebleness. He doesn't want to play with anyone.

The old man was always serious.

Her lips were always left naked and clean. She never bothered to apply lipstick before, even when Mrs. Jang suggested once out of the blue. There was never the occasion to apply it before, aside from wedding invitations that was always passed on to the parents.

MinYoung's cheeks were lightly tinted pink from the cold climate. Wearing a single layer of sweater was enough. Even in such conditions, she always tied her hair into a ponytail. It wasn't due to the need of attention onto her exposed skin. It is just a matter of preference.

Nothing much has changed after her enrollment into the field. People and colleagues assume her as one ego that's doing her best to serve for the country. She perpetuates to be diligent in order to protect innocent victims as well. She places her life on the line in order to stop crime from accumulating towards a peak.

To experience a change of events, such as now baffled her mind.

Jin always took notice of MinYoung's conserved, hidden behaviour ever since they'd run a background check on all officers. She was the primary target despite being linked to the head chief of the department. Targeting the foundation of an important figure, it could easily affect the other pillars of the structure.

Jimin suspected going for the latter would be too soon, but regardless they followed pursuit. They trusted Jin's motives and intentions. They didn't intervene much at what he did between the two. Jimin was amazed, in the end that everything had flowed accordingly to plan with no faults.

Yet, what purpose would it serve and how far were they willing to go for?

How far was Jin going to drag this any longer?

MinYoung glances at the necklace. He was generous enough to take the choker out from her neck. She felt uncomfortable with it. It isn't her style and source of comfort. Jin was just messing around, like always.

She knows she's blinded by her adoration towards Jin. She sees over his faults. He's never pulled a trigger before, but it occurred once.

That was it.

MinYoung tucks the necklace behind the collars and obediently sits down on the bed.

After all, she is unable to move a muscle when a gun is pointed directly towards her head. One wrong move and Hoseok's guard wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. She has no plans to die today or tomorrow.

MinYoung is going along with the plan that Jin surreptitiously told her before calling for a guard. She doesn't understand Jin's motives. She doesn't want him to live behind bars. The young officer believes in Jin by abandoning his sins.

She's confused.

Her heart races uncontrollably. She wants to rest on his bed and draw in his scent lingering on the blanket. She's been sitting unpleasantly for a few minutes ever since Jin left.

Right now, MinYoung is petrified of even breathing.

"Where have you been?" Hoseok grumbles at Jin's late arrival. They were to have a brief meet up together to plan out their next move. The four knew where they were headed, but it was the other plan after that.
