. . .

In the centre of the abounded warehouse lies two unconscious bodies. They weren't given enough rest to breathe and found themselves knocked out from the constant lashes. Pain was unbearable, but it was somehow better than waiting for the injuries to heal.

NamJoon's body was dropped beside the bleeding Taehyung. His face was badly bruised and crimson red. His chest heaves lightly and Yoongi's exhales were haggard.

Surrounding these three victims were the remaining numbers of Hoseok's men. Their eyes were filled with emptiness and antipathy. They held various weapons at hand and remained like statues waiting for the command of their leader.

"Perfect. Now what? Should we cut them up into pieces? I'm excited." Jungkook exclaims in a disturbing tone. Anyone would instantly back away from the lad's tainted mind. They wouldn't even think twice about getting near him, even though his outer appearance seems innocent.

Hoseok holds up his hand and stares at the three bodies.

"Where ... are Jimin ... and brother SeokJin?" He calmly inquires.

Slender, soft fingers caress the swollen cheeks of the unconscious police officer. Her exhales come out as erratic and light. The abrupt blow to the stomach almost induced blood and bile to rise from her parched throat.

The woman sighs, hoping for the lass to wake up at the touch of her cold fingertips. MinYoung doesn't respond for quite some time, until she starts whining at the bubbling agony on her stomach.

It was bruising from the forceful punch.

She didn't get to glimpse who the attacker was and suddenly had blacked out. Her head pounds and hazy eyesight made everything worse. MinYoung groans, squeezing her eyes to endure the hammering pain all over her frail body.

The officer is fazed as to why she can't move her legs.

The woman perpetuates the longing silence as she stares at the now conscious girl. MinYoung squeezes her eyes once more and comes in visual contact with the person she least expected to be here.

"M-Mother?" She rasped, body quite heavy to lift off from the cosiness of the bed.

Her heart trembles in fear and confusion. MinYoung's mind starts twisting in various theories.

What was her Mother doing in the underground premise? Did SeokJin bring her here willingly or against her will? Who had punched her right in the stomach?

Her Mother caresses MinYoung's cheek without muttering any words. She recoiled, eyes glistening at the presence of her Mother. The touch felt foreign and strange. The woman wasn't saying anything, as if she was put on mute. MinYoung wants to feel elated that her Mother is right beside her, but she felt disoriented.

Is this her mind playing tricks with her? Did the assailed police officer pass out into the light and is seeing random visions?

The old woman tilts her head at the confused girl.

"M-Mother, w-what are you doing here? W-who brought you-?" She stumbles with her questions, attempting to lift her body up and failed.

Her ankles were tied together. Her Mother didn't seem to be in a panic. MinYoung's wrists are free, yet moving them caused intense fatigue to her shoulders.

The woman takes out a handcuff and grabs a hold of MinYoung's wrists, binding them against her will. MinYoung starts intervening with questions and fidgets, but eventually loses to the perplexing battle.
