The new fragrance of the sanitary hospital wafted up Hoseok's nostrils the moment he stepped through the main entrance. This was perhaps his first time entering a hospital. Shoving both hands inside his long coat pocket, his steps brought him solidly towards the reception. With a woman tailing behind him, she kept a professional image by holding her head high in silence.
Hoseok slightly leaned against the counter and brushed a hand over his hair. The only receptionist glances away from the computer screen, placing a smile on her face.
"Hello, how may I help you?"
"I'm looking for a police officer named Jang Kudoh. If I'm not wrong, he's currently hospitalized for being in a comatose condition."
The staff nodded and began to search for the said patient, scrolling through the list of hundreds of sick people. She hadn't realised that she was casually talking to the face of a murderer, excluding the fake moustache he placed on his upper lip. He was also wearing a brown flat cap to neutralize his rather awkward appearance.
It could easily fool anyone, but this strange appearance suited Hoseok well. It wasn't the best disguise he could pull off, but he didn't need to worry about his appearance.
Someone was always behind the screen playing around the with security systems.
"Mr. Jang Kudoh is in room number 203. That's on the second floor nearest to the lift." She replied, her smile still resting on her lips. Hoseok nodded and thanked the staff who then halted him from walking away. The staff stood up from her seat, inducing Hoseok to retrace his steps backwards.
"May I please have your identification card? I just need to check whether you are one of Mr. Kudoh's accomplice."
The woman behind Hoseok interjects with her own card and sends a sharp glare that paralyses the female staff. Then the woman replaces her stick face with a smile.
"He's a confidential man and we know how important chief officer Kudoh is to us."
With that said, the staff swiftly checked the woman's card and nodded without anymore questions. The pair were already walking towards the lift and up to the second floor. The staff's heart raced in fear at how someone's gaze could be so sharp and mean. She sunk back down on her swivel seat and debated whether to continue her work or not.
She glanced at the camera above her, zipping her lips tight at the thought of encountering a rude person.
Jungkook, on the other hand could only grin in return before deleting the said footage from the security's system.
Hoseok and the woman finally reached the second floor, stepped out of the elevator and proceeded to walk to room 203. He pushed the sliding door opened, revealing two police officers watching over the bedridden grandfather. They were alert, unaware of a visitor coming at this time.
They turned to Hoseok with a curious look on their faces and before they knew it, Hoseok smiled at their presence.
The woman from before had to back away for a bit to find a nurse costume to disguise herself as one. She meandered towards the staff room and encountered with one female nurse.
"Oh- excuse me, did you not see the sign-"
Her words slurred into silence the moment she attacked her on the neck, inducing the staff to collapse in her arms. She heaved her body up, casually dragging her body towards the storage room at her nearest left. If any type of surprise were to appear right now, she knew she could easily tackle them to unconsciousness.
The woman stripped the nurse's overall and even took her name tag. Fortunately, there was a face mask on one of the shelfs. The woman busied herself in changing swiftly, noticing the storage key still integrated on the doorknob. She knew they would only have a limited time in finishing their task.
