Chapter Six

They are not together together.

Disappointment was evident on James' face after Nadine said that she doesn't want to enter a relationship this early. Don't get her wrong, she really really likes James. She probably likes him more than he likes her. But Nadine wants to be with James after she gets to know him better. And she wants no issues surrounding him.

So yeah, they are not together together.

James' tongue is itching to say that to all the reporters surrounding him right now. They were asking about Ericka and him but he ignored them. Until a female reporter asked him; So what's the real score between you and Nadine Lustre?

After what happened last night (nothing extravagant happened, much to James' dismay [kidding...or not?]) Nadine and James kinda had an agreement that whenever they are asked what is their relationship status, they would say that they're just close friends.

Well, it's partly true. But...

He was getting frustrated with their situation and set up.

"We're just good friends" he smiled at the female reporter in front of her.

"So you're not dating anyone? Even Ericka?"

"I'm not dating anyone, as of the moment"

"So there's really nothing going on between you and Ms. Lustre?"

Reporters can be really annoying if all they did is to just ask the same question with different formats.

Stop asking question about Nadine, I might end up confessing the truth. He screamed on his head.

It was a good thing his manager called him. James excused himself from the crowd and sighed as he sat on the couch.

"Boss Vic approved your request" Caryl said and smirked at him "So no fake i like her set ups and I'm dating her facade huh"

"I can't stand being with her again" James said with disgust, talking about his crazy ex.

"She's just so toxic, If I hadn't broke up with her, you'll see me tied on the bed with a tape on my mouth"

Nadine laughed beside him. "You're mean" she said.

James frowned and draped his arms around her shoulders. She raised a brow. James copied her expression.

"What? There's no reporters here" he said.

"Okay, lovebirds, we'll leave in a few minutes" Caryl said before excusing herself out of the room.

When she was gone, James immediately snuggled on Nadine's neck, showering it with light kisses that makes the butterflies on Nadine's stomach flutter.

"James!" She flinched when he bit her a little.

James sat up straight and smirked at her before grabbing his phone on her hand and kissing her cheek.

"I missed you" he said.

Nadine rolled her eyes "You're so whipped" she teased him.

"Well, don't talk as if you're not like me. It was you who had a big crush on me" he smirked.

Nadine tilted her head to the side "Had, James. Had"

"Oh yeah, 'cause I'm not just your crush right? Why? Do you want to court me?"

Nadine smiled at him sarcastically before standing up only to bounced back on him. James adjusted her on his lap so both of them are comfortable. He wrapped his arms around her waist and burried his face on her hair.
