I nervously shuffled my feet and picked at my nails.
"And what may that be?" she asked, amused.
I thought this down to the nitty grittywhen I got serious about telling her.I needed this. She knew it. It was the moment of truth.
"IwannagotoAmericaforthesummer" I spit out.
You shoulda heard that woman laugh. It was the most un-"queenly" like thing she had ever done!
"What?"
"Sweets, America isn't under a rock! They will know who you are. We've been there before."
Okay, this is where it got hard. Call me a princess, My palms where sweaty and my heart was pounding. Would she like that we would have to be secretive?
" I know. So all we have to do is change my image and my name so people won't recognize me!" i exclaimed.
naturally, i have wavy brown hair and blue eyes. I decided i was going to dye my hair bright blonde, a natural color, mind you, and straighten my hair everyday. I could do my own makeup and let my freckles show too! As, for my name it would have to be an American one. Not too unique, but not to common. I can hid my accent easily. When you go to different countries, you gotta know the language! See? I have everything covered!
Grandmum looked confused, "Sweets? That sounds splendid, but there is no way I can let you go to America alone."
I was giddy with excitement. " Thats not all! If im going to be normal I...I need parents..." I whispered remembering my mom,"I could take David and Kelly with me! They can pass as my Mum and Pop!"
David was my Grandmum's most trusted advisor. Basically, he was our head agent. He made sure I was where I needed to be, on time, and ready to go. He made sure I was always comfortable and well-dressed, and that I had a place to stay. He even dealt with the press when something would pop up. That man is like my 2nd father. And for Kelly? She's the closest thing I've got to a mother-- and a friend. Her job? My nanny. Hey, it might sound stupid, but its not. When you were 8, YOUR parent watched and took care of you. My family works full time, if you know what I mean. They were always away when I was little. So she taught me my manners and values. Fed me when I was hungry. Read me bedtime stories and tucked me in. Comforted me when I was sad. Even punished me when I was bad. She was my "fake mom" for my whole life. Still is, I just get the choice to travel with my grandmum and father.
"Well... Are you sure you want to do all this? Im not quite sure it is the best."
"grandmum, i want this like nothing else. It would mean so much. You said if you thought of a way for me to be a normal teenager, you would support it."
"Well, then Sweets, i'll have someone release a statement to the press you are going on a private vacation. I want you to enjoy yourself. Relax."
I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING I CANT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENING!!!!!!! I did a fist pump in the air gaining a few looks from the staff.
"Lets get cracking," I smiled to myself.
