"Explain to me who... We were." Max came up to me and I turned to allow him to put the handcuffs on me. "I had a feeling me and him weren't from the same place as the others here, but he's always denied having the same feeling as me..." We started walking.
"Well I didn't talk to you or Ross much, but you guys did occasionally join me and the gang. You both seemed like nice guys. You were always so social and talkative, and you'd you get mad at the smallest things. Like if someone said sorry for something they really shouldn't be sorry for, that's set you off in an instant. Ross was quite the opposite of you actually. I'd be lucky to get a few words form him when he was on his own. But when you two were together it was the cutest thing! You'd completely swap personalities. Ross would come out his bubble a bit more but yours would shrink by ten times. If you were in the same class he'd talk non-stop about various things, rarely ever the class work, and you'd just sit there, either leaning your head on his shoulder if you were next to each other or just staring at him if you were opposite him on the table."
"Heh, you make it sound like we were a couple." He was smiling as though he liked that idea. We were almost at the door where Ross was waiting.
"I... Don't know if you guys were or not. If you were you never told anyone." Max looked down.
"Oh... I see..." He looked like he was about to cry.
"Max I'm sor-"
"We're here." I looked up from his face to lock eyes with Ross. They looked more cold then earlier.
"Took you guys long enough." He sounded pissed as he knocked on the door he was standing next to.
"Are they here?"
"Yes mam."
"Come in, test 1 first." Max walked ahead and opened the door. He entered the room and moved to the right, out of the way. I start to walk forward but I'm then shoved into the room by Ross. Being caught by surprise, I tripped and face planted into the floor.
"Dude, what was that for?" Max shouted at Ross as he helped me up.
"Go grab another pair of handcuffs and the B.T.R.S." Ross shut the door and locked it from the other side. Max ran at the door once I was up. He pounded it with his fists as tears and fury stared to fill his eyes.
"No point in trying. It's made from an Aluminium-lithium alloy. All doors on this ship are. I thought you learnt that in briefing test 1." Max froze and turned with a horrified look on his face upon the mentioning of the word 'briefing'. "You also learnt that when on guard duty you're not to talk to prisoners."
"No! No no no no no no no no no please no. I promise I won't break the rules again." He started to cry and had a break down. In-between his sobs he said "How did you know?"
"I have my ways to keep an eye on my guards and any prisoners I have. She looked at me as she said the second half of that statement.
"So, you heard the whole conversation?" That was the first time I've spoken since coming in here.
"But of course! and I believe you and test 2 were a indeed couple." The queen turned to max as she said that. He stopped crying and glared at her.
"And you're telling me this, why?"
"I mean, you didn't think I'd let you go on without consequences, did you? Because if you did, you might need to attend the higher level briefing this time." Max instantly got frightened again.
"What do you mean briefing?"
"Well, imagine- Actually, why don't I just show you?"
"What?" Max backed right into the corner.
"Enter." As she said that 4 soldiers came in. One went to Max and the other three came towards me. Max tried to put up a fight, but was easily overpowered. I gave my three more of a fight, but I eventually submitted to them, exhausted. "These two are to have Level 2 briefing immediately."
