Banishment

"Valencia Redaspen, you are now banished from the Shadow world, have you any last words?" The American woman in the Clave, whom Valencia forgot the name of, spoke.

Valencia looked at the sophisticated-looking woman with her eyebrow slightly raised and a smirk slowly growing.

"Am I not allowed to talk as a mundane or something?" The young woman asked sarcastically, smiling widely to mock the woman.

The woman, whom Valencia now remembered as Octavia, snarled in disgust and the Shadowhunters, who had come along to see the 'downfall' of the great Valencia Redaspen, contained their smiles and sniggers.

Sarcasm had always been a coping mechanism for Valencia, not that anybody would know.

After murdering her father Valencia grew cold, distant. She hated that she couldn't save her mother and the guilt ate at her every day from the moment she opened her eyes in the morning. Most nights she sat awake trying to figure out why her father had murdered her mother, it wasn't planned or so it seemed, her father just simply walked into her and her mother's training session in the London Institute and stabbed her mother through the chest.
Valencia will never forget the way her mother reached out to her and began shaking violently, that was when she plunged her Seraph Blade through her father's stomach. She didn't cry but she was screaming on the inside, screaming for help, some clarity, her mother.

That was 2 years ago from now and presently she was 17.
Apparently, the Clave had 're-evaluated' her parent's deaths and began pointing the blame at her. The Clave has always hated Valencia, for she had more power than them all, for some reason the majority of Valencia's blood was angelic, unlike the average Nephilim who had half. So they wanted to cast her out, isolate her like some animal. But she rested assured, they would soon come grovelling back to her, as she is the only being that can grant angel Raziel's wish, the wish that can either destroy or save the world as we know it.

"Why waste my breath on some stupid goodbye? I'll be back soon..." Valencia confidently states as she moves closer to the woman and whispers
"... as long as Valentine Morgenstern is alive, you and all the Shadow world need me as a source of survival."

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

It had been two weeks since Valencia's banishment and just like she had expected, she had got a call from the head of the London Institute, her aunt, Katherine. Katherine was only 30 and had no children of her own, nor did she have any participation with the circle. The young woman has always admired Katherine, or Kit-Kat as she always teased her with. During the phone call, Katherine had explained the 'rules' of her return, there were 3;

1. Valencia Redaspen must remain in the New York Institute under the supervision of Alec Lightwood, the head of the New York Institute.

2. Valencia Redaspen must NOT under any circumstance use Raziel's 1 wish.

3. Valencia Redaspen must involve herself in the assassination of Valentine Morgenstern.

After hearing this she sighed, not out of fear but out of boredom, she had expected her time in New York to be short and sweet, little did she know, this mission would either make or break the famous Valencia Redaspen.
