The Inquisitor
As soon as Valencia got the call she returned to the London Institute, just to rub it in everybody's faces that she was back because... why not?
Unfortunately, she discovered why she shouldn't have returned to the London Institute as soon as she set foot through the doors.
The inquisitor, Imogen Herondale, was standing there, eyes blazing like wildfire.
"I didn't think it would take long for you to break one of the Clave's rules, girl"
She spat out viciously."My name is Valencia Redaspen, not girl, and as you know who I am and what I am capable of, you shall pay some respect" Valencia spoke calmly, nobody would notice but Valencia has always feared the great Inquisitor slightly from the stories alone.
The inquisitor marched over and grabbed Valencia but the face, digging her nails into the girl's soft cheeks. Valencia refused to wince as the blood began to slowly drip out of the wounds.
"I shall pay you no respect, child. I know perfectly what you are capable of, but that is under the Clave's control- my control. You are nothing but an arrogant little girl."
She paused a second only to tighten her grasp around Valencia's face.
"You may have the blood of an angel, Valencia. But your presence in this world is nothing but demonic. If you defy my authority, I can promise you will envy the fate of your mother."Valencia was taken back at this, how dare she talk about her mother.
"You have no right to talk about my mother, you are not even half the woman she was! Now get your filthy claws off my face before I snap them off, you haggard old woman!"
Valencia bellowed, she was beyond the point of anger and her eyes began to glow gold and her runes began to activate - something that always occurred when she had reached an extreme in any emotion. The inquisitor quickly retracted her nails in shock. Everyone surrounding them had already gone silent, the only sound throughout the London Institute was the breath of the inquisitor.
"I have a warlock in the next room, he will portal you to the New York Institute"
Inquisitor Herondale spoke quietly.Valencia, still in a rage, replied "and who said I'm listening to the Clave anymore? I don't think my demonic presence is needed in the New York inst—"
She was cut off by sudden drowsiness and somebody appearing next to Imogen's side.
As she struggled to keep her eyes open, there was a comforting laugh and a voice that spoke softly,
"Sorry kitten, but you must go to the institute, we don't want you sentenced to death now do we?" Magnus. He was an old friend who offered her sanctuary after her mother's death, when she went rogue, trying to escape the recent events."Really Magnus? Dormitior?" She said, naming the sleeping spell he had just used. He chuckled at the fact she knew.
Of course she did he thought.
The only thing she didn't notice was the slight green flicker of light coming from his hand, a different flicker to an original sleep spell."Bye now cupcake," He said as he pushed her through the portal he made. Swallowing the guilt.
She began to shout his name when she was drowned in sleep, the last thing she felt was a hard floor and then swaying and a pair of arms holding her.
