After whispering the plan to them, they both stared wide eyed but nodded. They knew what to do.
"Damn Casey, I never knew you could think so strategically like that." Gee said. I smiled, but then said,
"Well, we may have to tweek it when we get there and see everything. Just remember, act innocent and fragile."
They both nodded again, then started whispering together. I needed us to look small and unimportant, though we were usually good in that department. I closed my eyes, but then a random man came and told us we'd be entering Battery City in just a few short minutes. I nodded and sat up straight, looking at Kat and Gee. If I lost either of them because my 'brilliant' plan failed, I'd probably have to kill myself from guilt. Kat must have seen my worriness, because suddenly she reached over and hugged me. I hugged her back, silently telling her I loved her. I did the same with Gee. Then, when Battery City came into view, i started getting antsy, adreniline starting to run into my system. I just needed to stay calm for a few minutes......then we'd be free.....
When they were unloading people from the train, I looked around, taking in everything around me. I was shoved to a little cart already filled with people, but I stood a little was from it, pretending to look for someone. I saw my dad and started worrying for him and mom, but I had to let them go. With a sigh, I saw what I was looking for. A little door by the entrence the train took that said Employees only. Linking arms with Gee and Kat, I started walking towards it, though slowly to avoid attention. When we got close, I looked back to see one of the people watching us. I slightly panicked, my heart beat speeding up, but then there was a huge comotion. It was my dad! I looked closer, letting the girls lead me as I watched the guard person walk towards him. My dad was shaking on the ground. When we got to the door, I looked even closer to my dad, and I saw him glance at me. As soon as I stepped into the room beyond the door, I saw him smile. Then, the door closed. My dad had saved us from getting caught.

After a few minutes of nothing but standing there, I looked around and noticed we were in the middle of a tunnel. Everything was metal, and light was coming from the floor, making it look like we were in a spaceship or something. Unlinking our arms, I turned right, knowing that was the way the train had come through. Sure enough, there was an emergency exit door. Opening it up htough, I realized we were no where near where the train had been. Did I go the other way? No matter I thought, we're out. Without thinking, I ran out and into the desert. There were a few hills and even fewer shrubs or trees, but I felt like I was free for the first time in what felt like forever. Turning around to see the girls, I smiled even more. Gee was running after me, Kat right behind. I kept running, but a little slower so they could catch up. None of us were used to running or anything like it, so we ended up walking, holing our side a few minutes later. We were all panting, but we forgot water. Realizing the probably fatal mistake of forgetting that one essential we needed to survive, I sighed and sank into the shade of a shrub, my side screaming at me.
"Guys, none of us brought water, did we?" I asked. They both shook their heads as the sat next to me, breathing just as heavily. Great I thought. After a few more minutes, Gee looked at me and asked,
"Where in the hell are we gonna find those guys that were singing?"
I thought about it, and after a few seconds, shrugged my shoulders. This all worked out better in my head. They both stared at me like I was a complete retard, and in a way I had been. I had thought they'd be waiting for us or something. Looking up, I realized the sun had sunk alot more then was normal. Then, a breeze came and stole the heat away. I silently thanked what ever there was to thank for that wind and got up. Both of them stared up at me like I was losing my mind, but I just smiled and started walking. Eventually they both got up and walked with me, but both looked kinda pissed. I definetly knew why. But, i had a new plan, and it had to work.....or we'd all die.
