Thunder rumbled loudly as the night went on, the gods of Olympus all gathered to council.
"This is unbelievable!" Zeus boomed, slamming his fist against the arm rest of his throne. "We are the gods! Not some insignificant children!"
"Perhaps if you hadn't fooled around as much we wouldn't have this problem," Hera snapped, glaring at her idiot husband.
Their bodies had been weakening for months, all part of a prophecy some human girl had uttered with her dying breath.
The gods were to be replaced by mere mortals, demigods to be exact, and with every new bastard child the gods could feel their powers leaving.
"What can we do?" Aphrodite asked, her beautiful face full of concern.
"The only thing we can do," Athena replied, nodding at Zeus.
   "We must kill the demigods."
