"5...4...3...2..1, fuck yeah school's over!" The whole senior classed screamed, as everyone was sprinting out the door.

"Last year of school and we still act like children." I scoffed walking with my best friend.

"I know.. frankly I'm going to miss school but, well college is next. Speaking of which you never told me, did you get accepted into Harvard?" Kacey asked.

I tensed up and bit the inside of my cheek. "Y-yeah. I did." I sighed. You must think I'm lying but I'm really not. I'm just not excited to go.. surprising huh. I have my reasons.

"You don't sound too excited, why's that? Harvard is like the fucking best." She laughed.

"I don't want to leave my mom, I'm the only one she has left really." I sighed.

"I understand Y/N, don't worry I'm sure you'll figure things out." She assured. We were walking down the stairs when her boyfriend began honking his horn.

"Oh, got to go Y/N, by the way do you want us to pick you up for graduation? She asked.

"Yeah, sure."

"Alright, love ya!" She skipped to her boyfriends car and made out with him before actually getting in.

"Preppy." I scoffed.

I was walking home when it started pouring hard. "Oh what the fuck?!" I groaned. I began sprinting home to shelter.

I opened the door and locked it. "Mum, are you home?" She didn't own a car due to her sickness so sometimes it was hard to tell.
"I guess not." I shrugged.

I began whistling for my dog so I could feed her. "Periwinkle, come here!"

She wasn't coming so I filled up her food bowl with some dog food and began shaking it, causing noise. Finally, she came running towards me with red stained on her white fluffy fur.

"Are you hurt girl?" I awed, checking her to see if there was any wound. I found none which kinda made me nervous.

She than ran off so I decided to follow her. I knew something was up when she started going down the basement stairs. I grabbed my softball bat and followed her down there.

I heard rustling to my right which made me startled. There was a light switch only a further down so I crepped over to it, flicking it on.

What I saw made my heart sink in horror. My mom was eating something bloody. She must have not noticed me before cause when I dropped my bat she turned to see me with horrible sharp teeth.

"Y/N, you're home." She groaned. As she stood up I got to see what she was eating. Our neighbor Jackson.

"M-mom what're you doing." I stuttered.

"I'm just so hungry Y/N, I have nothing else on my mind." She was walking close to me which made me very nervous.

I reached for my bat the second she was only a few feet away from me. "Mom I'm going to call the cops okay? We.. we're gonna figure this out."

"You're not calling anyone." She growled. I tried swinging at her but she tackled me to the ground, taking a bite out of my neck in the process.

I screamed a loud, fowl scream when we both heard a door slam open. "Sam down here!" I heard a deep voice say.
