The panther lunged at the girls, causing the its prey to jump sideways to avoid being pounced on. As soon as the monster came to a stop and turned around to make her next move, the consoleoids were on the same side of the room, but on opposite sides.

Iris was on one side wielding her cutlass whilst Cassie stood there with balled fists as if she intended to fight this animal with her bare hands. Desiri gazed at the defenseless consoleoid and turned to slowly and threateningly advance with exposed fangs and a lowered posture.

Desiri started rushing her, much to Iris's fright. "Cassie!" she screeched. The panther landed on top of Cassie as a puff of smoke emanated from that same area. Confused, the frost user looked around for her friend, but gazed above the attacker to giggle out of relief and amusement.

The panther looked up with an expression of anger to see a small animal floating in the air by flapping its ears; it  moved towards Iris only to change back into her normal form. "I forgot you could do that." Iris remembered. "Well, Puppy Shapeshift is a defining feature of my class. With that said, I've had enough with evasion, so let's take her on!" Cassie proclaimed as she reached into her dress's pockets to produce a plethora of stickers in the shape of hearts and small animals. Some of the patches of paper had text on them, but seemed to be an language that originated from their home universe.

Just as the panther lunged towards the consoleoids again, Cassie pushed Iris out of the way with her body weight just as she was dodging their assailant herself. While they were thrown into another part of the room, Cassie turned her body around midair and threw the patches of colored paper at the she-beast and they stuck to her fur instantly. The children landed on the ground and were sprawled on each other; Iris rose to her feet and dusted herself off. "What was the purpose of that?" Iris asked whilst grabbing Cassie's palm. "It's a new trick I learned." reassured her friend. "For now, we need to distract her." she continued in a quieter voice.

Cassie became a canine once again and ran towards an angry Desiri, much to Iris's fright, but her friend ran circles around the panther and made her slightly dizzy before forcing her to chase after the dog. This plan finally clicked with Iris when she watched Cassie get backed into a corner; finally feeling the courage to fight, she raised her cutlass and created a small wind. She instinctively created shards of ice that hovered alongside the controlled gusts.

The youth jabbed at the air with her blade which in turn caused the wind to blow in the direction her sword was pointing in. The airborne, icy daggers began to ambush the panther just as she raised her claws at the small dog; many of the sharp, icy shards struck the walls surrounding the fighters, but a majority of them embedded themselves in Desiri's ebony fur.

With a loud roar, she raised her body in shock, which allowed Cassie to have enough room to scurry out of harm's way and return to Iris's side. The dog didn't speak, but she was looking at her friend with a wagging tail and a single bark as an inferred sign of approval.

On various parts of her body, the daggers were sharp enough to take away small lines of fur, and one could've saw the scarlet liquid that splotched her fur and discolored her skin from lacerations in her pinkish flesh. Desiri turned around with fire burning aggressively in her yellow eyes, and growled before turning around to attack the girls.

Iris raised her cutlass and the blade collided with the panther's spurs; their weight fought against each other. Being heavier, Desiri was able to make Iris struggle to support her weight. During the struggle, something clicked in Iris's mind again, hence she side stepped so quick that the she-beast fell flat on her abdomen. The child took the opportunity to jump upwards and throw her blade downwards toward the beast with her own weight.
