Iris sat on the cot in her room. She kept her legs close together and held them close to her chest as her eyes looked at her feet in what appeared to be confusion as she thought about the memories of the fight that came back to her. The youth remembered killing Desiri in a fit of insanity she had little control over and still smelled her blood even at this moment. Even if she was given more control in the fight against Ziazan, why did she regain even a small increment of strength?

The child looked up as soon as she heard the door open, revealing Ken. "Hey, kiddo." she greeted. Iris didn't respond, instead she opted to look away from her. "What's the matter?" Ken walked towards Iris and sat beside her. "Tell me everything." Iris demanded. "What do you want to kno-" "I want answers, Ken!" Iris stood up and gave a death glare to her creator.

"Ever since this whole thing with Satara stopped being a thing at all, I've been sitting here and asking questions about myself all this time. Why did you torture me? Why did I become possessed by my corruption even when the data was stolen? Why did I sprout wings and regain strength? Why did Minako save Larkspur if it was Stephanie who made her? Why are you here pretending that you love me when I know that you'll just kidnap me and bring me back to Consoleia?!"

Ken sat there with widened eyes and wandering pupils as she dug around in the back of her head for answers, but Iris kept shaking her shoulders whilst gritting her teeth out of unrelenting anger, confusion, and fear. "I don't know! I don't know anything anymore! I was sent here on a mission to retrieve you and ever since these turn of events, I hadn't been able to make sense of anything! It's like my memories are conflicted." Ken looked up at the child and made a sheepish smile in hopes of being believed, but only instead received a foot to the face and fell onto the floor.

"Get out." Iris demanded. "But Iris, I-" "I said get out!" Iris slammed her fist in the wall to put emphasis on her fury. Ken slowly got off of the floor and walked towards the door; she opened it midway and turned to Iris as she raised a finger to speak. "Out!" she interrupted the human before she had the chance to say anything. "But, I-" "No buts, out!" "Iris.."

The youth unsheathed her frost cutlass and pointed it towards Ken; the researcher held her hands in front of her defensively and backed out of the room. "Go sleep somewhere else!" Iris scolded before slamming the door and locking it. "I never knew Iris could be so fiery." another spoke; Ken saw Clover walking towards the slammed door and looked at it, perplexed.

Clover shrugged and walked to her vanity to look in the desk's mirror. She sat down at the small chair and simply stared at a small, open book lying on the table's surface; Ken walked towards the hostess to see what she was reading, but the language wasn't in her native language, instead it was in another language. "I know that language." The researcher looked over Clover's shoulder and tried to determine which one it was, but seemed to hold a grimace in her expression. "How?" "I've lived in Consoleia for more than twenty-five years with my sisters, but even if I know the language, I can't read it. Only a certain consoleoid would have the knowledge to translate it to English." "Ken, if you lived there for that long, why hadn't you picked up on any of the languages when Iris knew English the second she scanned a sticky note with my.. a family member's writing?" "Back in Consoleia, it's rude to do that to those you don't know. My other sister created a consoleoid that would learn all of the spoken and written languages and translate for us."

"Before that consoleoid was born, it was my boss that translated since he lived there longer than me and my sisters. With a translator always being there, me and my sisters found no use in trying to learn their languages." Ken finished speaking and walked towards Clover's door. "Hey, maybe we can get Iris, Larkspur, or Zerrin to translate. Aren't they built with the ability to scan languages and instantly learn them?" Clover questioned.
