Chapter 8

Nico's pov

There was a small knock on the door. Leo started standing up but I managed to get in front of him, I mumbled a quick 'I got it'.

As soon as I opened the door, I was pulled into a tight hug. There's only one person who hugs like this. Will. I go to pull away but he starts talking, so I stop.

"Nico, I'm so sorry I did all of that. I didn't know it would hurt you and upset you. Okay yes, the kiss was the heat of the moment, but I swear on The River Styx that I was not kissing back out of pity. I promise. I really really really like you Nico. I only did those things because I thought you were into someone else, I didn't think you'd ever like me. I'm sorry for everything and I hope I can just make things better. I just never knew how to deal with it. That's why I volunteered to go on the quest... I needed time to think of something that I could do, even if it didn't work. I'm sorry I left for so long, and I'm sorry for doing all of that to you..." Will said quietly while running a hand through my hair.

We stayed hugging like that for a few minutes before I looked up to see him smiling.

"What's the smile for, Solace?" I ask, tilting my head a little bit.

"Nothing," he says, starting to smirk.

"Tell m-" I get cut off by a pair of soft lips on mine. I close my eyes and kiss back. It wasn't rough or anything, it was sweet and loving. When we pull away, Will was back to smirking, which caused my face to turn bright red. Will just stared into my eyes and didn't say anything.

"What?" I ask.

"Nico?" He mumbles.

"Yeah?" I reply, starting to get worried.

He looks down quickly before looking back up at me. "Will you be my boyfriend?" He says and flashes his bright smile.

I look up at him with wide eyes, and then break into a smile. "Of course I will."

he leans down and connects our lips yet again. It just feels right.

A small chorus of awes was heard from the three standing behind us.

I turn around so fast, I tripped over my own foot and started to fall. But I didn't touch the ground. Because Will caught me before I fell.
