Natasha took you back down to the basement and lead you over to your bed where she sat you down. "We'll come and get you tomorrow". You nod and watch her back as she walks away, giving a nod to the guards as the forcefield appears around you once more. You survey your glowing cell, noticing Loki looking up at you. In his hands was a book, he must've been reading prior to your arrival. "Anything happen while I was gone?", you ask, falling back onto your bed. He taps his chin for a minute before shaking his head. "Not that I can think of, though there were some aliens who came through". You let out a quiet giggle and smile lightly at the raven-haired male. He returns the gesture, giving you a warm smile. It was nice to see him acting so kind, after hanging around the Avengers they told you about Loki and his attempts to take over not only Midgard but as Asgard too. He was quite a mischief man, ironic because he is the god of mischief.
You let your gaze drift to the ceiling where you can only see more of the glowing forcefield which contained you. "Hey, Loki?", you call. You hear him hum quietly in response. "What's it like to have a brother?", you ask. He doesn't respond straight away, first, he puts his book down and sighs. "As a child it was fun I suppose but you know that being around someone all the time causes you to argue and such, but it is nice to have someone there for you". You returned your eyes to his cell where you could see the pure emotion in his eyes, he was being serious. "From this question I'm guessing you don't have any siblings?". You give a slow nod. "Yeah, we weren't too wealthy and my mother died giving birth to me so I didn't have a chance. I always wanted to have a younger sibling though, I wanted to be able to teach and protect them...", you trailed off. "But then I also wished to have an older sibling, someone to take care of me, I guess". You found it strange talking about this kind of stuff since you had never had anyone to talk to. After your father had died you spent every day doing the same thing. Wake up, scavenge or steal food, scavenge parts from the junkyard, find more food and then sleep. But once you got a job you were actually able to buy food and didn't need to scavenge or steal for it anymore, this gave you more time to find parts and build the ship which you used to get away.
Slipping from your thoughts you turned your head to see Loki stand up, walking towards the barrier which separated your two cells. You sat up and got off of your bed, approaching the wall too. Loki sat with his legs crossed, facing you while you sat down in front of him. "You weren't missing out on much", he chuckles, looking down at the floor of his cell. You give an understanding nod. "But I also notice that we take advantage of everything we have and only those with nothing can really appreciate them". He looks up and meets your (e/c) orbs, reading every emotion your face currently displayed. You were dead serious, as some who had grown up in a castle in a family which ruled over a thriving society, there was nothing he could say. One might even get mad at him for not being to understand but you knew it wasn't his fault, was it even a bad thing to be brought up with love and kindness rather than neglect? That's all you really remembered from your childhood, you would sit there reading books you had found while your father sat in his chair, drinking away his problems. Sure there were people who had worse than you, even if your father was an alcoholic he wasn't abusive. Coming to a new planet and falling for one of the inhabitants wasn't his purpose when he arrived but it became his whole world he found her, your mother. You knew he had been a kind man but once you were born and your mother died everything around him turned to shit. There was nothing that he could do and with all of these newfound emotions, he started to drink to the point where he could no longer move. He found happiness in his daily bottle's of beer, they took away the pain. However you couldn't stand the taste, it reminded you of the smell left after your father had passed out, dropping his bottle and letting it spill across the floor.
You hadn't realized it but your emotions had started to spill, letting tears roll down your cheeks. You looked sadly up at the Asgardian. The expression on his face was sympathetic, he truly did look sorry. It's not like he understood but he was providing all the comfort that he could with the wall that separated the two cells. You watched as he lifted his right hand and brought it towards the barrier. Your eyes widened as his hand inched closer, your mouth hanging open slightly. "Loki, n-". But you cut your self off as you watched his hand travel through the cell wall with ease, causing him no harm at all. He hand got closer and closer to you until it gently touched your face. His hand cupped your cheek, wiping the fresh tears with his thumb.
